Weird that tomboy looks actually make me feel pretty feminine?  Kinda weird.  I think because it's  I just feel like myself and comfy in my skin when I dress this way--not trying too hard, you know?  Anyhow, the majority of this look is an oldie but goodie (with the exception of these killer  HEELS...speaking of, how good are THESE).  But I'm doing my darndest to find a similar blazer to the one pictured above from last year....not coming up with many patch options but do love THIS HACKING ON SALE along with this CAMEL VERSION ON SALE.  I'll keep digging for us and if I come up with anything I'll tag it on insta with LIKEtoKNOW.it....if you're not registered with LIKEtoKNOW.it, hop on it---easiest way to shop from bloggers' instagrams directly from your email--just have to register once!  Alright gang, cheers to a fantastic weekend---make it a wonderful one! Had a little chilly spell in the Bluegrass a week or so ago which indeed called for a light jacket.  Serving up two different options for summer toppers--a light and airy neutral jacket along with a bright RED BLAZER.  Both equally suitable for summer, both able to complement a dress, button down, tshirt, or loose tank.  

Gonna keep her short and sweet today--headed out the door to do a Closet Cleanse then getting geared up for a weekend at the pool--fave fave fave time of the year indeed!  Y'all enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend--make it a great one!

Classic with a Twist

Can't get much more classic than jeans & a tank/tee.  Habitually, I tend to go for color when getting dressed, but sometimes it's nice to opt for the classics.  With that being said, I just couldn't help myself and had to toss on these Leopard Rebecca Minkoff Heels (then again, in my book leo is always a classic).  Sidenote, we've got some good sales going on with the upcoming holiday.   These DL1961's have been a constant since purchasing them earlier this year--major sale on these pups--so much so, I may have snagged a second pair because I literally wear them ALL of the time!  Another major 4th sale is Shopbop's.  Check out some of my current sale craves below.  Make it a good one & cheers to a Happy 4th of July !

I knew the moment I saw This J.Crew Striped Popover, I would have to have it--but then again, I knew everyone else would, too!  Classic & fresh, it's a staple that will stay in your closet for ages.  With that being said, I wanted to spruce it up a bit & make it stand out.  Solution--the monogram!  What better way to add a unique touch than slapping on a "Laverne & Shirley-esque" Initial on it?  I have to say, I've worn the hell outta this sucker and plan to do so through the duration of the spring/summer.  Alright, gang, make it a good one & make sure to check out The Shelf Giveaway from yesterday--I added a few additional items & will continue to do so!

You all know that the button down blouse & jeans rig is never going to subside for me, right?  I do my best to switch it up some days, but it always seems that I resort back to this classic & timeless look.  To avoid boredom, I try to infuse little variances whether it be a fun ballet, rolled skinny, or lovely Clutch (I am slightly obsessed with Clare Vivier's selection--TDF)!  Alright, Gang, you all have a great start to your week---I've got a busy one ahead of me!

So first off--apologies for the insane amount of repetition these Jeans are experiencing--clearly I am in love with them.  Secondly, this Blazer...she is compliments of one of my faves, Danielle from Lou What Wear.  Talk about a gal who I immediately connected with--goodness!  I had a pretty good feeling we'd be fast friends since our online banter was solid; however, upon meeting Danielle, we just instantly clicked.  Funny, charismatic, and statuesque (her pics don't do her long legs justice), I just adored her right off the bat.  In an effort to be more cost conscious, we had the brilliant idea to swap some articles of clothing and I happened to score this sparkly number from her (ps:  it's marked down to $39.99 with an addt'l 20% off at Piperlime)--stay tuned for another piece coming up next week!  Alright gang, enjoy your loved ones today and keep your eyes peeled for a fun giveaway next week!

How Do You Valentine II

Don't get me wrong, I loved yesterday's Valentine version; however, if I'm gonna be honest--this is more up my alley.  It screams casual & cozy while still maintaining an element of polish.  This rig works perfectly if you're catching a flick with your guy or even cooking in.  By the way, the J.Crew Heart Blouse I wore yesterday is now 30% off at J.Crew Factory with code XOFactory (if you happened to buy it yesterday before the sale, get that sucker price adjusted)!

The Snow Day

It was winter wonderland-esque in the Bluegrass this past weekend.  I absolutely loved it, my brother & father in town from FL, not so much (they packed flip flops)!!  One tidbit I'd like to point out from this rig...the necklaces--two different necklaces doubled up from Target.  I've been know to do this doubling up bit (see HERE & HERE) a time or two--highly recommend as it's super affordable and I find it more robust to add two pieces.  Alright gang, make it a good one!  

PS:  by all appearances it seems the glitch is fixed...let me know if you're still seeing anything funky.  Take note, the "Pin It" button is now below the images.  It was a miracle I was even able to install a second time--so Pin Away!

If there was a rig I could sport everyday, this would be it!  Classic & comfy, the blazer/tee/jeans combo never fails and looks good on anyone.  The beauty of it, too, is you can mix & match this combo endlessly.  Remove the scarf & toss on baubles or how about nix the oxfords and throw on some heels?  Replace the tee with a button down for a more proper feel (all buttoned up with a splash of color perhaps).  It's tried, it's true, it's here to stay. Y'all make it a good one!
