The City Mix

coat (French Connection c/o), dress (French Connection c/o),  booties (Tory Burch), tote (Clare Vivier c/o                 Omar + Elsie ), shades (Armani), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck)

The moment I stepped foot in the French Connection store in SoHo, I knew this Pony Hair Leo Coat was stepping out the door with me.  I've been eyeing her online and so seeing her in person only confirmed the fabulousness.  And true to form, why pair it with straight up black when you can get a little wild with another Bold Print?  Clearly I kept everything else subdued with some opaque tights and classic Tory Burch Booties.  And yes, while I was freezing my ever loving ass off (even with this COAT layered on top), this number was totally worth the hypothermia.
Alright kids, happy to be back in the Bluegrass even though it's a dang tundra out there--kids out of school for the week so we're going to get a healthy dose of laziness today!  Feel free to shop the look below (as well as some of the SALE picks from French Connection...see EmbroideredChecks, & Herringbone).  Y'all make it a good one--stay warm!

Distressed Frills

sweater (French Connection c/o), denim (GAP see similar HERE), heels (Zara see similar ON SALE HERE & HERE ), bag (Clare Vivier  ), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), watch (Daniel Wellington), shades (Gucci)

So this SWEATER is crazy feminine with it's frills and ruffles which is why she's the perfect match for a pair of Distressed Boyfriends.  All about balance---little bit of girly with a little bit of tomboy.  The frills also make for a perfect Vday outfit--cute and casual while still being somewhat festive.  In the Vday spirit yet?  Make sure to check out last week's POST WITH FRENCH CONNECTION and be sure to enter their Vday Contest for a chance to win a very handsome shopping spree!
Alright gang, cheers to a wonderful start to your week...we've got a chilly one here in the Bluegrass!  Make it a good one.

The Bootie Diaries

booties

1//2//3//4//5//6//7//8//9

I've been on a mad hunt for new black booties and while I'm still in need of a heeled pair (hi, Stuart), I ended up nabbing these Flat Fellas (under $100), last week.  Figured I'd share the ones I was deciding between as many of them are under a hundo (BucklesPointed).  Feel free to sift through some of my faves below!  Alright gang, heading out into this heinous weather to shoot a few pics--fingers crossed Mother Nature doesn't act all ornery!  Make it a great one!

A Connection

dress (French Connection c/o Morton James Lexington, KY),  shoes (J.Crew ON SALE other metallics HERE), necklaces(s) (two doubled up, Adele, Lexington KY, c/o), cuff (Morton James), rings (LagosAnna Beck), clutch (JJ Winters old), shades (Ray Ban)

Got a little love affair going on with French Connection.  Wanna know why?  Pretty simple actually, aside from the fact that their dresses are super modern and sleek with details I absolutely love, I really gravitate towards them because they SUCK YOUR SH*T IN.  And by SH*T I mean that backside and any other side you want sucked in for that matter.  This is probably one of,  hells I don't know,  8 FCUK's I own, and I continue to keep going back to Morton James for more.  God love Halie & Julia for keeping MJ stock piled with FCUK galore--fantastic selection as always, girls!  Ps:  super stoked Morton James is s + s' newest sponsor--welcome gals--y'all already know my love for them as illustrated HERE.
This Dress was a top contender for a wedding weekend extravaganza I had a few weeks back but decided the slit may scare off the old folks and opted for a more neutral Ronny Kobo Frock paired with mint jewels from Adele...which brings me to my last and final tidbit, when in doubt and need to amp up a look--do yourself a favor and peruse Adele's accessory selection.  This is no fluff, I literally go to them for any and every event I have when in need of some gems--their gems are my jam.
Alright gang, cheers to a wonderful week, KT and I FINALLY have our schedules in sync and will be back to our regular shooting schedules--therefore, no more posting hiatus!  Thanks for stopping by!

Derby Does Hats

beth:  dress (French Connection, Dress & Dwell), fascinator (Headcandi), shoes (Zara), bracelets & clutches  (Dandelion)
danielle (Shoshanna, Blink! Louisville), hat (Headcandi), shoes (Zara)
Ladylike or a little more playful, either of these looks would be perfect for the Derby (big thanks again  to Danielle for snagging us some fun little frocks---doesn't she just look gorg).  I think one thing to point out--we've got a lot going on with our top halves--so I believe it to be best to keep other accessories to a minimum and let the hat or fascinator be the highlight.  While Danielle is keeping it classic with her lace shift & clutch, we decided to play my look up a bit with a colorful clutch---yes, this day is one of classic tradition; however, it doesn't mean you can't infuse some playfulness into your look---make it a good one, gang!
PS--the winner of the Bloomingdale's Gift Card is SANDI!  Congratulations Miss Sandi---please message me directly with your address & I will send your Bloomie's card stat!  An enormous thanks to all who participated---you all made last week fab!
