Lounging

tunic (J.Crew see similar HERE, HEREHERE), jeans (7FAM, Similar), belt (C.Wonder), bracelets (Matilda's c/o), hat (HM), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), shades (Ray Ban)

While not necessarily tunic weather in the Bluegrass, thankfully I was able to sport one of my fave spring frocks in FLA.  Many may restrict the tunic to a beach coverup, but I tend to wear my tunic threads in a more sporty fashion (see HERE  & HERE).  Just a friendly reminder not to limit your pieces to their intended purpose!
Also, a very belated congrats to Leslie Marcum--you won the Made in the Deep South Cuff Giveaway!  Sincerest thanks to all who participated...we'll have another giveaway coming up in the near future for sure!  Make it a good one, gang!

Last Resorts

sweater & bracelets (Lilly Pulitzer, Matilda's/Cabana of Stuart), tunic, tote, jeans, sandals (Matilda's/Cabana of Stuart), shades (Gucci), necklaces (vintage), ring (Lagos)
Happy New Year, Gang!  Alas, I am back in the Bluegrass and sharing my last batch of beachside looks from home.  Talk about going from one extreme to the next, surrounded by palm trees on Friday & sledding in the snow come Saturday morning!  I hope everyone had a fantastic start to 2013.  While it may be cliche to talk resolutions, I am going to share mine..I feel like it will somehow make me more accountable psychologically if I put it in print for y'all to see!  In 2013, I resolve to:
1.  Be more punctual (I am the worst and it is such a terrible trait)
2.  Save more dough & nix the plastic (this will prove to be most challenging for moi and yet, will force me to be more creative in the rig arena and utilize my closet more than buying new pieces).
3.  Put down the technologies.  I found when I was home, I was less connected & it felt fantastic.  Not to mention I believe it to be a good example to set for my girls.

Switching gears, I've thanked them before, but I'll do it again.  A big thanks to Dana & the gals at Matilda's/Cabana of Stuart.  Remember kids, they ship out of state AND it is tax free for Non-Floridians...I will def be taking advantage of that (772. 221.8280).  Mrs. Lindsey Potter, you are a true talent & I thank you for splashing some sunshine onto the blog.... Here's to a fabulous 2013--let's make it the best one!

Palm Beach Party

full rig except shades (Matilda's/Cabana of Stuart, FL), shades (Gucci)
Be it a soiree, fete, shindig, or party--tis' the season for sparkle and festive dress.  While I'm leaving the beach today & will be back in the Bluegrass for NYE, I couldn't resist sharing looks I'd sport shoreside if celebrating down south.  Printed whimsy with a splash of sparkle paired with lovely baubles and jeweled flats---party perfection if you ask me!  Yet again another set of lovelies from Matilda's & Cabana of Stuart...a must see if in need of some fabulous resort looks!  Y'all make it a good one!

Warmest Wishes

bracelets (Bourbon & Boweties & J.Crew). sweater (c/o Cabana/Matilda's of Stuart), shorts (Joe's Jeans), shades (Gucci)
Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas!  Here's to a time filled with family, fun, and festive cheer.  Being at home in Florida with my whole crew is so very special and I am soaking up every sun filled minute.

A few thanks are in order.  A very special thanks to Matilda's & Cabana of Stuart for infusing some quintessential Palm Beach flair into this & my upcoming posts--the boutique is as darling as darling gets!  You immediately feel transported onto the Island the moment you step in the front door.  Not to mention the gals and the vibe are equally lovely.  Another thank you goes to Carley of Bourbon & Boweties for sending me the killer stone stackers featured above. She's another Florida gal with a passion for all things baubled--how can you not love that?  Last but not least, an enormous thank you to the insanely talented Lindsey Potter for capturing our hometown in the most beautiful way imaginable.  Alright gang, Have a Merry Merry!
