I just love Navy.  I love Navy HERE, HERE, and especially HERE.  She has long been one of my favorite neutrals.  Best thing about her, you can sport head to toe, with prints, with pastels (think lilac or mint), with primary colors (think Kelly Green or Red), and with fellow neutrals black or gray.  So next time you're tempted to toss on your typical black or gray--think about sporting my fave, Navy.

Cheers to a fabulous week---it's a springtime miracle--gonna be in the 70s tomorrow--hot damn!  Surely it's because this Fool's Bday is Manana--Happiest of Bdays to my fellow Fool, Kelly King--had a blast with your sweet self on Friday!

Really this post could have also been entitled, "Head to Toe Neutrals," because let's be honest, navy, stripes, and leopards are indeed just that.  Mix them bad boys all together and hell--we've got a look that'll be in heavy rotation for me no doubt!  These jeans are indeed a statement which is why I chose to tone em' down with navy and a sleek flat--heels would've been a bit much for me--little too "tart" you know?  Apologies as I'm sure you wanna sucker punch me for them no longer being avail (not to my knowledge anyhow), but no fears--y'all know Kate Spade serves up lovelies season after season.  Case in point, how cute would THESE POLKA DOTS look with same striped blouse and a NEON PINK SWEATER?  Kinda darling, right--may need to add those bad boys to the arsenal.  Alright gang, stay warm and make it a good one!  Thanks for stopping by!

I hopped on the bandwagon like many of you and bought this Coat (see SIMILAR) because frankly it was just too dang good to pass up.  Always an avid lover or plaid, checks, gingham and the like, I knew this sucker would be a great topper for many a looks.  Yes, sadly, there is a limited selection of sizes left, but don't fret as I've scouted out some other super cute buffalo (see HERE, HERE, HERE).  Alright gang, cheers to a fab weekend--it's beyond frigid as I know it is in many parts of the country--stay bundled!

Vintage Gets Casual

  Toss on a Denim Vest, some Classic Sneaks, add a Structured Tote, and a Wrap or two, and you my dear have just modernized a $10 Vintage Dress!  But then again, who really gives a hoot when my dress cost less than my morning Starbucks order!  Make it a good one, gang---we have GORGEOUS weather blessing us in the Bluegrass--feels like Fall!

Snaked this Parker number at the Voce Sidewalk Sale several weeks ago and come on, sailboats, what's not to love?  Def plan on pairing this little frock with some flats & my Denim Vest for a casual weekender look.  Lexingtonians, Voce has a killer selection of Parker frocks (possibly some still on sale, too)--check out some of my faves below.  Gotta keep her brief today, gang--I'm in Columbus for a work meeting and I've got to scoot--y'all make it a good one!

A Summer Sweater

A key piece I always have on hand is a lightweight Sweater.  Whether I'm traveling, headed to a movie, out for dinner or lunch, I can pretty much guarantee I'm going to be cold indoors---I am ALWAYS cold.  A sweater such as this is great for keeping me toasty & when not in use, I just toss her around my shoulders.  One other bit, I am digging in a major way acrylic jewelry like my chunky necklace from Adele.  In a ton of bright neon colors, they're perfect to pile on & add some fun to your rig.  If you mention s + s when calling to snag one, the gals will ship em' to you free of charge.  Alright gang, hope everyone had a fun & safe 4th--make it a good one!

Mad For It

This plaid frock was one of my fave finds I scored during my vintage excursion with the gals from Of Wit & Will.  Adored the fit of this dress and the potential to modernize it a bit with a Chunky Gold Necklace & waist cinching belt. I've also added a blazer to this look which made it a fun little number for my workday. Check out some other dresses below with a similar cut and a bit of vintage flair.  Keeping it relatively short today as I'm soaking up every minute in So. Fla with the fam---Disney was such a very special trip--my girls had the time of their lives!  Heading to the sandbar this morning to do a little beach exploring--  Make it a good one!

Summer Layers

Pretty obvious I'm not afraid of a little color.  The warmer months are a perfect time to play with various shades--These Skimmers are a great place to start when creating a colorful look (they're super comfy, too).  A Lightweight Popover and a linen sweater aren't heavy and make for comfy layering pieces as well.  

I'm headed to Florida this evening with my gals and this whole look is already in the ole' suitcase ready to go.  I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to get back home to my family. Myself, my brother, sister, sis-in-law, niece & nephew are taking my gals to Disney then we will finish off the trip in Jupiter with my parents.  No better combo than family & beach!!

One last little tidbit, Adele of Lexington is hosting a Lauren Lail trunkshow tomorrow & Sat.  Not sure if you caught a glimpse of this Instagram spouting my love for my Lauren Lail shorts, but this Lexington native is serving it up with some darling pieces with a lovely vintage flair.  Make sure to swing by the trunk show tomorrow and Sat--Adele baubles will be on sale, too--check out the invite below!  Alright gang, make it a good one!
