Morning, Gang!  I hope everyone had a lovely weekend--the move was a success and thank goodness it is O.V.E.R!  Thank you for all of the well wishes....let's get onto the rig, yes?  The marriage of gingham & camo makes me quite happy.  I think most would typically gravitate towards something a little more edgy or urban when dressing up camo, but I'm kinda loving the idea of prepping it up (I will keep an eye out for my GAP version--think they literally JUST sold out as I bought mine 2 weeks ago).  Other ways to sport the camo?  See a Feminine Twist or a Play on Stripes.  Make sure to follow s + s on Instagram to see more OOTD's that don't make the blog's cut.  Make it a good one (and stay dry if your in Lex)!

A Trendy Classic

Part trendy for the black & white and yet all the way classic with the black & white, the stripes and khaki anorak.  That's basically what had me sold with this dress is its ability to be current and yet still be classic all at the same time.  Quite important when choosing your frocks if you ask me!  You all make it a good one--I am actually MOVING this weekend (still in Lexington) and therefore my list of TO DOs today is quite insane...Can't wait to get all settled in the new nest!

Navy on Navy

I'm having a major love affair with navy right now.  I mean really, it's always been there, but it's at an all time high currently.  It's kind of ridiculous considering color is all the rage this spring--don't worry gang, I'll cheat on neutrals soon enough!  Pattern mixing is still going strong this spring and my advice when doing a stripe pairing--make one more subdued than the other (ie: the tank under the bold striped jacket).  

Two other orders of business.  Numero uno, I 'think' I've decided to grow out the locks--just to a chin length shaggy bob--so this serves as your warning--horrible hair days to follow!  Have you ever grown out a hair cut this short?  It is horrid, gang, truly--you want to grab scissors on the daily (which I'm not saying I won't do, but I'm going to try my darndest to push through the ugly). Not a mag. Not Pinterest.  Not a fellow blogger.  Gang, this rig was actually inspired by none other than a sweet adorable Dalmatian named Mali (Hi McKamy & Holly)!  Seriously, this pup is the cutest, chubbiest little thing...but it was Mali's patterned spots that had me inspired.  So you see, don't limit yourself to the usual sources of inspiration--it truly is any & everywhere!  Make it a good one--oh, and ps: I will be at Adele this Thursday for their Hazen Jewelry & Marc Allison Jeans Trunk Show--but I'm certainly not limiting myself to just those as Adele is swarming with gems left & right--would love to see y'all there!

You all know I love a quirky Kate Spade Tee (see HERE).  Toss her on with some skinnies & a blazer, and you've got a perfect rig for date night or a gal's night out.  We've chatted about some good spring staples (the denim jacket & white blazer), well the striped blazer is no exception.  I have worn this sucker TO DEATH--I am loving this Navy & White version from Madewell.  GAP also has some great options and they're having 30% off with Friends & Family, too.  Alright, gang, you all have a fantastic close to your week--make it a good one!
