For us Kentuckians, this is a wonderful time of year.  The horse races are in full swing at Keeneland which can only mean one thing....The Kentucky Derby is right around the corner.  Now look, many a spectator is in it for the races; however, I am a horse of a different color (so bad, right, but how could I resist that pun).  For me, the Derby is all about the fashion!  What with the glamourous hats & the lady like dresses--it is a fashion spectator's dream.  While I am loving the idea of a minimal stripe paired with a peplum (clearly, as I paired a very similar Look Last Year) , don't steer clear of vibrant hues or even florals.  My gal Danielle of Lou What Wear is basically giving it to us live from Churchill Downs---she is doing a series this whole month illustrating different frocks that suit the different areas of the track--I am so loving this! Also, the lovely ladies over at AJs Casuals can outfit your look from head to toe--gorgeous dresses, fascinators, & hats galore! Even if you're not visiting the Bluegrass State for the races this year, throw a little soiree in honor of the horses---what better excuse to get all dolled up Southern Style!  Make it a good one, gang!

It's always this time of year that I start getting the itch to make a trip home.  Leave it to this Pomegranate Anchor Tunic to transport me back to the Sunshine State in the meantime.  Let me tell you my fellow Floridians, if you don't already own a tunic...you must.  She's versatile, lightweight, and stylish--all things one needs when living and/or traveling beachside.  And for us Lexingtonians that are prepping for summer & a tropical getaway, luckily Monkee's of Lexington exclusively carries Pomegranate.  Another must have for the warmer months, White Denim--specifically distressed white denim.  It adds a slight edge to the classic factor just enough for my liking. Alright gang, cheers to a smooth start to our week--make it a good one!

Lexington was in full blown Spring yesterday & you could tell the town couldn't have been happier!  I have to say if I could coin a quintessential spring rig with a laid back (yet polished) vibe, this number would be it.  You all are guaranteed to see me repeat this look as I just felt very 'me' in it.  I have to plug the GAP Skimmers pictured here--so in love, great fit, and really fab price, too!  I think I'm on my 3rd pair (and there's a 30% off sale, too)!  And now onto the Giveaway winner....
