The Way of the Wellie

After doing this POST the other week, I got a lot of questions regarding the WELLIES...are they comfy?  do you wear them often?  are they good in the snow in addition to the rain?  are they worth the jingle?  and the answer is, "YES...absolutely!"  So I wanted to share a little wellie mashup of how I sport my Hunters but also include some more affordable options below...which good grief, how cute are THESE STRIPES and THESE SPOTS?  But truly, you'll see me sporting mine all throughout the fall & winter--I'll wear them to work, to workout (we only sport socks in Pure Barre), while on mom duty--you name it, I sport 'em.  The key to keep your pigs warm in the winter is to wear THESE SOCKS--they get the job done indeed.  And if anyone is feeling ultra glam and splurge worthy, THESE STUDS are so dope, seriously.
Alright gang, hope this helped with some of your wellie dilemmas--you all enjoy your Tuesday....it is beyond gorg here in the Bluegrass.  Fall is indeed upon us!  Make it a great one!

The Black Jumpsuit

jumpsuit (old as dirt--plenty of similar options BELOW), belt (ADA LOVE this PYTHON PRINT), flats (Loeffler Randall, LOVE THESE and THESE), clutch (Clare Vivier, Omar + Elsie, available online HERE), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), cuff (Similar), shades (Gucci c/o SmartBuyGlasses)

Holiday parties, girls' nights out, date night, dinner in NYC, these are just a few of the zillion times I've worn this black jumpsuit that I've had for almost six years.  Worn with heels, flats, Metallic Sandals, the Black Jumpsuit is about as versatile and classic as it gets.  Since the one above is no longer avail, I went ahead a chose some other beauties (I just got THIS ONE several weeks ago and I can't wait to style her) because aside from a white button down and BLAZER, this staple needs to be in all of our closets!
Alright gang, cheers to a great start to our week--let's make it a good one!

Navy Love

shirt (HM c/o LOVE this heart silk blouse & THIS PLAID & THESE STRIPES), shorts (J.CREW on CRAZY GOOD SALE), flats (Loeffler Randall), bag (GiGi New York c/o), shades (Gucci c/o SmartBuyGlasses), cuff (Similar), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), necklace (Maya Brenner)

Aside from the color (which I'm majorly in love with as exhibited HERE & HERE), I am loving the relaxed vibe of this look thanks to these Pleated Crepe Shorts (on sale BTW) and a silk(ish) blouse (Loving THIS one).  In keeping with the trend, don't y'all think THESE pleated guys would be the perfect addition to our fall wardrobes?  I can envision them with a Chunky Knit and a Metallic Loafer.
Alright gang..I've gotta scoot..gotta a fun weekend ahead with two of my favorite people back at our old stomping grounds in Tallahassee.....GO NOLES!   Make it a good one!

Get Red

dress (J.Crew see similar HERE and HERE), flats (Loeffler Randall, Omar + Elsie), bag (Clare Vivier, Omar + Elsie, avail online HERE), necklaces (Similar), watch (Michael Kors), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), cuff (Similar)

You know typically, I don't gravitate towards red.  No specific reason other than I have to have just the right shade for my skin tone---the dress above and this Drop Waist are no doubt serving up that universally flattering hue.  Able to be paired with a multitude of shades, I chose to stick with my routine these days and throw in some black--which I have to thank a reader for turning me onto THIS ALTERNATIVE to my necklace above---if you're wanting a little more chunk, snag two!  Once the temps start to dip, I'll try pairing this dress with some Spotted Tights--perfect little transitional number (check out some similar reds below).
Alright gang, I've gotta catch some zzz's--have a busy workday in Cincy tomorrow and then head to Tallahassee to cheer on my Noles later this week--can't wait!  You all have a fantastic start to your Wednesday---make it a good one!

The Wellies

tee (Nation Ltd, Omar + Elsie, avail online HERE), jacket (HM, see SIMILAR FOR UNDER $40), wellies (Hunter), denim (dl1961), shades (Gucci c/o SmartBuyGlasses), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), watch (Michael Kors), cuff (Similar), bag (Louis Vuitton)

We had a few days of solid rain several weeks ago and well, nothing serves and protects during those dismal days quite like a pair of WELLIES (I've got THESE FELLAS on my radar).  But the other piece I'm loving during these transitional months is without a doubt a UTILITY JACKET--I actually just snagged a NAVY ONE and I'm repeating the hell outta it already.  It's the perfect weight for just a bit of chill and it will pretty much go with everything be it casual or even dressy--tomboys it up a bit.
On another note---I swear to you--seeing these pics of my shaggy mane makes me want to without a doubt dye my hair crazy blonde and go for THIS...even though I have made my friends solemnly swear to never let me do THIS ever, ever, and I mean ever again--I can just feel it coming on--I cannot stand the shagginess and I've got the itch to do a little something drastic.  Maybe it will pass, but something tells me once my gal gets back from tying the knot...I could take the plunge.
But despite my hair quandary, you all have a fantastic start to your week!  Sending my sis back to FLA after a truly wonderful visit--I needed a dose of home!  Make it a good one, gang!
