dress (Line & Dot, Piperlime), heels (Rebecca Minkoff sold out, DVF Sale Option), faux jacket (BB Dakota, almost identical version), bag (JJ Winters), necklace (Hyla Dewitt, Adele of Lexington, DYING for THIS & THIS), watch (Michael Kors), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), cuff (unknown), shades (Gucci)
Y'all know I've been yip yapping about THIS DRESS for a bit now and let me say, she did not disappoint! Even though it's obviously loose & trapeze fitting, the color, little ankle peek, and shoulder display make it surprisingly flattering (I suggest sizing DOWN). And how happy am I that it works well with a Faux Leather jacket for a perfect fall transitional look. Not to mention you could pair this lovely with a handful of hues--how about yellow, gold, or royal blue? Apologies for the hemline wrinkles--was sitting cross legged and seems she got a little crumpled (major pet peeve)! Alright gang--insane work day ahead--make it a good one!
jeans (Paige Denim see similar HERE, HERE, HERE), sweater (Old Navy), blouse (J.Crew), flats (Madewell ON SALE), bag (Michael Kors), watch (Cartier), necklaces (Hyla Dewitt, Adele of Lexington, target, vintage), shades (Gucci)
Not a mag. Not Pinterest. Not a fellow blogger. Gang, this rig was actually inspired by none other than a sweet adorable Dalmatian named Mali (Hi McKamy & Holly)! Seriously, this pup is the cutest, chubbiest little thing...but it was Mali's patterned spots that had me inspired. So you see, don't limit yourself to the usual sources of inspiration--it truly is any & everywhere! Make it a good one--oh, and ps: I will be at Adele this Thursday for their Hazen Jewelry & Marc Allison Jeans Trunk Show--but I'm certainly not limiting myself to just those as Adele is swarming with gems left & right--would love to see y'all there!
sweater (HM, see Similar Stripe), shirt (J.Crew), jeans (Marc Allison), shoes (Zara), clutch (Kate Spade), shades (Gucci), watch (Cartier), bracelets (J.Crew, Stella & Dot, Asos), necklaces (Hyla Dewitt, Adele of Lexington, vintage, Target pearls)

When asked to participate in the Of Wit & Will shop your closet contest, I thought, "I'll give it a go!" Not one to typically enter contests, I couldn't resist the idea of recreating a look from any of the Fall 2013 Fashion Shows--more importantly, shopping your own closet to achieve the look (well that and the $1000 shopping pass enticed me, too). After searching looks from my favorite designers, I stumbled upon the look above from the Burberry Men's Fall 2013 lookbook. There weren't any rules stating I couldn't go coed, so I thought why not add a little femininity to an otherwise masculine look? What do you all think? If you'd like, take a gander over to Of Wit & Will's FaceBook Page and VOTE ---I sure would appreciate it! Or while you're at it, see what you can recreate--contest ends this Friday. Y'all make it a good one!
