dress (DVF, AJs Casuals Lexington, KY), blazer (J.Crew, Similar), shoes (Zara, Love THIS Shade, too), clutch (JJ Winters), ring (Lagos), watch (Cartier), earrings (vintage)
Talk about the perfect dress to transition from day to night! I am in LOVE with this DVF number--(thank you AJs Casuals)!! I swear what you would pair with this is endless. I already envision some ballet flats, white kitten heels or THESE in white ( I am on a MAD hunt for white shoes--not an easy find), possibly with a neck full of baubles. Bottom line, if you're going to invest in a frock such as this, make sure you can get some major mileage out of it and it's a versatile little thing. Y'all make it a good one!
Oh, PS, I am on a mad purging spree--take a gander at My Closet on Poshmark. If you know me, you know I am one who can easily purge my closet so stay tuned--I've got my mom and sis in town as reinforcements forcing me to edit my beast of a closet--more to come!
blazer, tank, belt (J.Crew, LOVE these alternatives), jeans (DL1961), oxfords (Dolce Vita ON SALE), bag (Louis Vuitton), bracelets (J.Crew, Asos, Stella & Dot), earrings (J.Crew), watch (Michael Kors), shades (Gucci), scarf (LoveQuotes), ring (David Yurman)
If there was a rig I could sport everyday, this would be it! Classic & comfy, the blazer/tee/jeans combo never fails and looks good on anyone. The beauty of it, too, is you can mix & match this combo endlessly. Remove the scarf & toss on baubles or how about nix the oxfords and throw on some heels? Replace the tee with a button down for a more proper feel (all buttoned up with a splash of color perhaps). It's tried, it's true, it's here to stay. Y'all make it a good one!
Feeling less than stellar? Toss on a major dose of color and I guarantee it will add major pep in your step. Just because the weather may be a tad dreary, doesn't mean our rigs need to be as well. The color purple is quite regal, but it is also extremely versatile, too. These Kate Spade jeans will pair with more than meets the eye--navy, yellow, fuchsia, or royal blue. And don't forget about your neutrals like gray, cream with gold accessories, or camel layered with some chambray & leopard of course!
Onto the big winner of the Piperlime Giveaway....a big congrats to Ms. Lauren Ross! You, my dear, are well on your way to scoring some Piperlime swag! I truly cannot thank you all enough for participating...I'm already excited for our next Giveaway! You all have a lovely evening...I'll be back in the morning with another post!
blazer (J.Crew), blouse (GAP--sold out, alternate HERE), scarf (GAP), jeans (Paige), boots (Frye), bag (Lauren Merkin, Voce on Clay in Lex, KY), bracelet & watch (J.Crew), shades (Ray Ban), ring (Lagos)
Granted, my husband asked me upon wearing this scarf, "What, did you pull a muscle in your neck?"...I can't help but adore a good, cozy Infinity Scarf.
The fact it's in a prepster stripe---even better! I actually wore this sucker to the pumpkin patch with the babes this weekend with a coordinating stripe sweatshirt, and it was quite cozy and cute. One other tidbit, I tend to consider stripes in a navy palette neutral. You can pair em' with polkadots, complementing stripes, checks, leopard, and floral..."infinite" options, indeed! Y'all make it a good one!

New LunchBox, Backpack, Threads...could only mean one thing...Back to School Shopping! Hands down one of my most fave times of year as a kid. I can vividly remember getting home with all of my new goodies, laying them out on my bed, and getting down to the business of the "First Day of School Outfit." Now my big gal is heading back to 1st grade next week and while she wears the standard khaki/polo school uniform, it got me thinking...What would my back to school uniform look like if I was to head back to the hallowed halls of SFHS? I love the idea of the traditional khaki/collared shirt all buttoned, tucked, and prepster; however, I would definitely spruce her up a bit with bold hues, bags, and baubles! If I may make a suggestion for a fall staple purchase...the SchoolBoy Blazer.
I have had this one for at least 5 seasons, I never tire of it, it goes with so many darn things, I am definitely getting it in another shade this season--it's just a goodin! Y'all can shop pieces of the look below if you so choose:
