Tweed on Repeat

jacket (Zara), pants (Alexander Wang), tee (unknown boutique find), heels (J.Crew on SALE 30% off), clutch (Kate Spade), shades (Gucci), bracelet (Stella & Dot), ring (Lagos)
Safe to say I totes love black & blue as a couple.  They just feel quite modern and crisp when paired together. Not to be outdone by another couple I adore, Tweed & Leather (other version HERE) is another fave combo of mine.  Needless to say, quite the happy gal when these two forces joined.  Care to see another way she's styled...check it HERE.
Y'all make it a good one....headed to Florida next week so major prep taking place this weekend--traveling with two bunnies is not to be taken lightly!

Navy Days

coat (J.Crew on SALE), sweater & blouse (GAP, love THIS), bag (Kate Spade), chucks (Converse), belt (J.Crew), watch (Michael Kors), shades (Gucci), bracelets (GAP, BaubleBarStella & DotAdele of Lexington), ring (David Yurman)
If I had to sum up a go to look of mine, this would be it.  I'm a working mom who has a nano second to get ready most days and therefore a laid back look that is still pulled together is key.  And how about the color navy?  Pink, Green, Neon, Gray, Camel, Red, Orange, & Yellow all pair so beautifully with it.  I've almost worn out this sweater's welcome (remember THIS THIS)--it is just too cozy to part with; however, I'm thinking THIS MADEWELL LOVELY would certainly be a nice substitute.
PS:  Did you see last night's Playing Dress Up Post with Tops in Lex?  If only I could get all dolled up like that everyday!  Y'all make it a good one!

Playing Dress Up

full spread can be seen in Tops in Lex
Switching her up a little bit today, gang---I was quite excited when I was asked to be in the Holiday Issue of Tops in Lex, a favorite Lexingtonian publication of mine & many!  Getting dolled up and styled by someone other than myself surely did not disappoint. Nor did having my makeup & hair touched up with every other step--what I would do to have my very own personal Ryan & Jess!  Adding to the experience was the lovely Miss Kentucky, Jessica Casebolt,  whose legs are those of a damn gazelles, and Mrs. Elizabeth Burgess.  Seriously, I would totally commit a crime for her skin--it's insane!  Top it off with a fabulous photographer, a top notch (and hilarious) Glam Squad, and fun threads from local Lexington boutiques and there was no way it could be anything less than stellar.  So a sincere Thank You to Tops for a fantastic experience.
As a side note, the day left me wanting to up my non existent makeup routine.  When I do my eye makeup, all I see is a job my 6 year old could have done better or Bozo--basically, it ain't pretty! Any online tutorial suggestions/bloggers y'all know, please pass them my way!  It also left me desperately craving the J.Brand leather skinnies in the first shot--Good Lord those things are insane!  The CC Skye stackers (3rd shot) were just as gorgeous as ever, too (both available at Voce).  As for the white fur leg warmers that initially took me a wee bit by surprise, they definitely left me wanting a girl's trip to Aspen!  Y'all make it a good one...back to the routine tomorrow with an outfit post.

Neutral Zone

boots (Dolce Vita, love THESE, too), turtleneck (GAP love THIS, 20% off), cargos (J.Crew, love THESE,  THESE & THESE), coat (J.Crew), bag (Kooba), shades (Gucci), ring (Lagos), bracelet (Stella & Dot & Voce on Clay, Lexington)

I am a color lover--there's no denying that. I have to remind myself that sometimes a muted palette can be just as impactful as a hue filled ensemble.  The beauty of neutrals, too, is we all have them in our closets, and they can be matched pretty much any way you see fit. Navy, Chambray, Gray, or Black--all neutrals, all perfect toppers with these pants (ps: how much do I love THESE).  I, therefore, am going to take my own advice and put this palette into rotation more often than not!  Here's to a good week--light little dusting of snow here in KY--love it!

Leopard & Lumberjack

shirt & jacket (J.Crew), jeans (7FAM), shoes (Schutz, old, love THESE), necklace (Moondance, old), bag (Louis Vuitton Mon Monogram), bracelets (J.Crew, AsosStella & DotVoce on Clay), ring (David Yurman), shades (Gucci), belt (Old Navy), watch (Tag Heuer)
I have been in a majorly casual mood here lately.  It's no surprise that I love a good button down with jeans--I literally could (and sometimes do) where it everyday!  Also not surprising is my love of leopard, be it a big or small dose. It adds just the right amount of print mix to this look.  Leopard is a total neutral in my book so don't be afraid to add it with your rigs for an unexpected pop.  Y'all enjoy your weekend!!
