A Casual Sunday

look 2:  blazer (Express see SIMILAR under $25), tee (Zara love THIS TEE), denim (AG love THESE), sneaks (Converse), bag (Clare Vivier), watch (Michael Kors)

Sundays call for a laid back vibe and these two rigs are just that.  Couple things worth mentioning---if ya haven't hopped on the Chucks bandwagon, there's no better time than the present.  I just snagged THESE PLAID SNEAKS and have worn them nonstop.  Also, this classic Daniel Wellington Watch has a 15% off discount code for s + s readers using code "seersuckerandsaddles."  When I tell you this sucker is my new go to timepiece, I ain't lying.  Be sure to shop the looks below along with some other fave plaids.

Alright gang, I have my mom in town from Florida and we're gonna hop to it---laundry, garage organization, and spaghetti making--rager of a Sunday but my favorite kind if I'm being honest. Y'all have a great rest of your  weekend---make it a great one!

Summer Throwback

blazer (J.Crew ON SALE), jeans (DL 1961), tshirt (vintage, Street Scene, Lexington KY), belt (Sloane Ranger c/o), sneaks (Vans), bracelets (Sloane Ranger c/o), watch (Cartier), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), shades (Gucci), necklace (Maya Brenner), bag (Michael Kors)

Admittedly, this look says more late summer possibly early fall; however, if I tossed on a button down layered with a sweater and topped with THIS BLAZER and some Over the Knee Boots, I'd be geared up for the current crispness we're experiencing in Lexington.
Quick little 411 on a brand I was recently turned on to.   Sloane Ranger, named after the original London prepsters, has a vibe that I think the gals of the South will dig.  I was partial to both THIS THIS; however, I'm banking some gals will love THESETHIS, & THIS WEEKENDER....I could be off the mark, but I'm pretty confident in my choices for us Southern gals!  Alright gang, I've gotta scoot down south for work--y'all make it a good start to your week!

Work Mixup

blazer (J.Crew ON SALE), blouse (J.Crew ON SALE), skirt (J.Crew old, SIMILAR), shoes (J.Crew oldies), bag (Michael Kors), watch (Michael Kors), ring (Anna Beck), bracelets (J.Crew ), shades (Ray Ban )
Totally unintentional to be head to toe J.Crew, but truth be told, it does occupy a good bit of real estate in my closet. This outfit (coupled with a geek out evening of watching Suze Orman--I know but she sucks you in) got me inspired to try a little something that many of us have tried (myself excluded).  With the exception of this Blazer, which I got on major sale, the majority of this look came from things already existing in my closet.  Ole' Suze said it takes 21 days to break a habit and well, I've had a pretty naughty habit here lately of shopping entirely too much!  Sooo, I'm saying it here so I have some element of accountability, I am going to give it a go and not buy one unnecessary thing for myself for the next 21 days (I think I just teared up a bit).  And by unnecessary I mean the bathing suit I've been clocking for a few days (this one too, damnit), or the heavy shopping cart on J.Crew I've had sitting there for a day (including THESE & THIS), these SANDALS, or THESE FANTASTIC RED SHADES!?!?!   I feel a smidge better having said it out loud, but still--this is going to be a major challenge for moi (it'sridiculous, I know---but clothes have always been my vice--obviously, I have a fashion blog for pete's sake).  So I am already 4 days in (started on the 1st)--fingers crossed and wish me luck!  You can shop the look above down yonder (someone outta have some fun, right)--Make it a good one, gang!  PS:  I think the no shopping admission in this post has me breaking out into hives!

Candy Striper

tee (Kate Spade), jacket (Express see Similar Nautical Version), belt (Target), jeans (Marc Allison), clutch (Kate Spade, Love THIS), shades (Gucci), bracelets (J.Crew, Stella & Dot, Asos), heels (Zara)
You all know I love a quirky Kate Spade Tee (see HERE).  Toss her on with some skinnies & a blazer, and you've got a perfect rig for date night or a gal's night out.  We've chatted about some good spring staples (the denim jacket & white blazer), well the striped blazer is no exception.  I have worn this sucker TO DEATH--I am loving this Navy & White version from Madewell.  GAP also has some great options and they're having 30% off with Friends & Family, too.  Alright, gang, you all have a fantastic close to your week--make it a good one!

Peplum loves Stripes

blazer (Express), top (Zara), pants (J.Crew), shoes (Zara), rings (Lagos & David Yurman), clutch (Treesje),  necklace & bracelet (Stella & Dot)
It's no secret, I dig this BLAZER.  The sucker goes with too many looks to even count.  Case in point, take a gander at my guest post with Lou What Wear where I recount some favorite looks with this lovely!  Thanks, Miss Danielle, for having me---y'all make it a good one!

Stripes on Repeat

skirt (Tinley Road, Piperlime), blazer (Express), tee (Gap $12.99), shoes (Zara), necklace (Stella & Dot), cuff (Adele of Lexington), clutch (Kate Spade), shades & watch (Michael Kors), ring (David Yurman)
You caught me!  Repeating the heck out of this blazer--the pairings are endless!  Remember just several weeks ago I sported it With Sparkles and also with a little 9-5 action last week.  I just love its versatility!  Speaking of--both the great Gray Tee & a Leather Skirt are closet essentials if you ask me.  Oddly enough, a simple gray tee has a way of looking quite chic and stylish when used to tone down a fancy rig...the crew neck makes for a perfect resting ground for an adorable bauble, too!!  Can you really go wrong with a leather skirt...I'm going to wear this sucker for work and play---check out some fun options below!

And as for the Kate Spade iPad Winner, where's Ms. Kelly King? Congrats, missy--you have an adorable place to store your iPad!  I truly, truly appreciate the participation--it gets me so very excited for the next giveaway--which will be soon!  Make it a good one, gang!

Sparkles & Stripes

blazer (Express), sequin T (J.Crew old, love THIS or THIS), jeans (Ernest Sewn), heels (Charles Jourdan, Love her SUEDE sister), bangles (Stella & Dot, J.Crew), watch (Cartier), shades (Michael Kors), clutch (Kate Spade, love this, too)

Not just for NYE or a nighttime soiree, sequins can make quite the splash during the day.  Hunker her down with some blues and a versatile blazer or possibly with some leather shorts and ballets, and you've got yourself several different ways to sport the sparkle.  Moral of the story, just because it may be a traditional evening piece, doesn't mean we can't tweak her for a daytime rig!  Take a gander below to get pieces of the look:
