Sneak Attack

I don't know, think I have a problem with collecting sneaks?  Yea, me too.  Who says they're just limited to workout wear..not I!  Pants, skirts, dresses, denim, lace, shorts, or even maxis---I don't think there is one thing I wouldn't pair with my kicks.  Check out some of my current craves below--make it a good one gang, back in the saddle tomorrow with an outfit post--snapped some goodies yesterday!

Summer Throwback

blazer (J.Crew ON SALE), jeans (DL 1961), tshirt (vintage, Street Scene, Lexington KY), belt (Sloane Ranger c/o), sneaks (Vans), bracelets (Sloane Ranger c/o), watch (Cartier), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), shades (Gucci), necklace (Maya Brenner), bag (Michael Kors)

Admittedly, this look says more late summer possibly early fall; however, if I tossed on a button down layered with a sweater and topped with THIS BLAZER and some Over the Knee Boots, I'd be geared up for the current crispness we're experiencing in Lexington.
Quick little 411 on a brand I was recently turned on to.   Sloane Ranger, named after the original London prepsters, has a vibe that I think the gals of the South will dig.  I was partial to both THIS THIS; however, I'm banking some gals will love THESETHIS, & THIS WEEKENDER....I could be off the mark, but I'm pretty confident in my choices for us Southern gals!  Alright gang, I've gotta scoot down south for work--y'all make it a good start to your week!

Nordstrom Rack Take Two

\

look 1:  jacket (RL c/o Nordstrom Rack)
look 2:  skirt (DVF c/o Nordstrom Rack)

So last week I chatted about the new Nordstrom Rack in Louisville & how I was fortunate enough to be sent a gift card to shop my heart out.  Well today I'm putting these suckers to good use showcasing two of my fave finds.  I told you I was thrilled when I found the boy's navy blazer---I have worn it at least 3 times since snagging it.  How fun to pair something so utterly prep with a little camo, right?  Just another friendly reminder to shop your mens' & boys' sections.  I know it sounds a bit ridiculous, but I swear I have the best luck when I browse the boys' sections.  I also got a great pair of men's Lacoste shades when there that I am in love with (that post will be up later this week).  And then there's my lovely little DVF skirt--I am so in love with this color and the fit is so spot on.  It's the perfect canvas for a little navy, pink, and of course, some sneaks!  Probably gonna head back there this week prior to my NYC trip for Lucky Fabb and see if I can snag a few more gems--highly recommend my fellow Kentuckians do, too!  Alright gang, make it a good one!

It's Effortless

dress (J.Crew have THIS VERSION, TOO), sneaks (Vans), ballets (Sole Society c/o 20% off first purchase_, bags (Juicy Couture), shades (Ray Ban), bracelts (Crewcuts, souvenir shop in Fla), watch (Michael Kors), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck)
Fridays and the impending weekend call for an all natural, effortless look in my opinion.  I like to feel natural, comfy, and in my skin....no muss, no fuss but definitely polished and pulled together.  My formula for accomplishing a look with ease is tossing on a Casual DressFlats, or Sneaks.  There's nothing more comfy for me and I still feel crisp.  My beauty regime also remains pretty effortless.  As a mother of two tykes, I truly just don't have the time to primp--gotta keep her seamless & quick.  Not to mention I have no dang clue how to do makeup--mascara, cheek flush, brow pencil, and a gloss about sums it up!  Kinda thrilled with the Seventh Generation Skin Serum (pictured below) I've been using.  All natural, it doubles up as my serum and moisturizer for my mug so it's the only thing I'm using in the morn for moisturizer--quite effortless indeed--and really light and moisturizing!  Do you gals have any tricks or tips for keeping your look effortless?  Make sure to share your all natural style secrets!  Make it a good one gang, and cheers to a lovely weekend!

Skirts & Sneaks

vest (Old Navy old, alternatives HERE or HERE), button down (J.Crew), skirt (J.Crew, alternative HERE), shoes (Vans), bag (Michael Kors), bracelets (J.Crew, Stella & DotLinea Pelle), shades (Michael Kors), ring (Lagos), watch (Michael Kors)
No stranger to skirts & sneaks (see HERE), I love the idea of pairing girly with sporty.  Honestly, if I had to classify my style, I would say girly tomboy pretty much fits the bill.  It's when I feel most comfy indeed.  I am on a major run with THESE VANS right now---I have worn the heck outta them here lately (see HERE & HERE).  Headed to NYC this weekend and def plan on walking the streets in these bad boys, too!  Y'all make it a good one!
