Classic with a Twist

jeans (DL1961 on SALE), tank (Target), heels (Rebecca Minkoff ), necklace (J.Crew), ring (Kendra Scott similar UNDER $25), bag (Louis Vuitton), watch (Tag Heuer), ring (Anna Beck), shades (Ray Ban)
Can't get much more classic than jeans & a tank/tee.  Habitually, I tend to go for color when getting dressed, but sometimes it's nice to opt for the classics.  With that being said, I just couldn't help myself and had to toss on these Leopard Rebecca Minkoff Heels (then again, in my book leo is always a classic).  Sidenote, we've got some good sales going on with the upcoming holiday.   These DL1961's have been a constant since purchasing them earlier this year--major sale on these pups--so much so, I may have snagged a second pair because I literally wear them ALL of the time!  Another major 4th sale is Shopbop's.  Check out some of my current sale craves below.  Make it a good one & cheers to a Happy 4th of July !

The Claws Come Out

sweater & jeans (Forever 21), blouse (J.Crew, Neon Gingham on SALE), shoes (Luxury Rebel ON SALE), tote (Furla), bracelets (Stella & Dot & J.Crew), watch (Tag Heuer), shades (Ray Ban), ring (Lagos)
Childhood trips to the Fla Keys for Lobster Season came to mind when snagging this Sweater.  Aside from its delectable taste, the crustacean also makes for a pretty fun fashion statement.  As the weather continues to warm, don't you just love the idea of the top half paired with a bright Orange Chino Short or maybe a vibrant Red?  Take a look at some other pieces with the clawed critter below--make it a good one, gang!

Rugged Sparkles

tops & belt (J.Crew, sparkles last seen HERE), shorts (HM), boots (Dolce Vita), bracelets (Voce, Ann Taylor, Stella & Dot), watch (Tag Heuer), shades (Gucci)
Hi all!  Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday--we certainly did!  My little ladies are at such a fun age it truly was such a very special day!  While many may think I received lots of clothes, shoes, baubles, etc---well, folks, that would be incorrect as my family doesn't even attempt to give me clothing since they know I'm quite particular.  I got something even better--by far one of the coolest gifts ever received...a boatload of shiny....TOOLS!!!  You may not know this; however, if this blogging bit and my day gig go belly up, I'm going to become a carpenter/contractor..no joke. I am OBSESSED with home reno and my sweet brother-in-law knows this and totes hooked me up with a gaggle of tools, how to's, a drill, bits, hammers, levels, stud finders, the list goes on (personalized hard hat included)!

Which leads me to this rig as I envision I would sport something of this caliber on the job (minus the heeled boots and sequins although hells bells you never know).  I initially put this outfit on sans sparkles and felt a smidge drab...what better way to up the ante than with some sequins!  I'm also loving the idea of a stripe tee underneath or even another gingham button down.  Leopard ballets would make the rig a bit sweeter as well.  Again, just another friendly reminder that while sparkle season is definitely upon us, be sure to look for unconventional ways to sport the shine!  Y'all make it a good one!
PS:  Apologies for the delayed Giveaway announcement.  Congratulations goes to Laura Evans!  Many  many thanks to all who participated!

Tweak the Dress

dress (Zara--sold out, similars BELOW),  jacket & belt (J.Crew),  leopard flats (Kate Spade), plaid flats (daniblack Monkees of Lexington, KY), trench (Zara, similar BELOW), spike bracelet (Asos Stella & Dot), necklace (J.Crew single option HERE), clutch (vintage Gucci), watch (Tag Heuer), shades (Colors in OptiCS), ring (David Yurman), bag (Louis Vuitton Mon Monogram)
Staple.  This navy dress, my dears, is a nice, solid, staple.  It can be worn alone (sans belt if you so choose). It can be worn with a leather or UTILITARIAN JACKET (a must for the FALL).  It can be worn with a trench.  It WILL be worn with tights this fall/winter.  It can be paired with ballets, sandals, or heels.  It can be layered over a collared shirt.  It can be neutral or splashed with color (pink, turq, yellow, red, green).  It is without a doubt one of my fave lovelies in my closet!  So much so that I am super tempted to snag one of these pups below:
