Dual Casual

We're keeping it casual today, gang.  Nothing fancy about either of these looks, but fancy ain't typically my go to so these are right up my alley.  Can't go wrong with a Color Block Dress and some Sneaks--effortless is key and this look is just that.  Speaking of effortless, a button down, Distressed Denim, and Chucks is the epitome of laid back.  Equal parts casual and easy, these two rigs are ones you'll typically see my sporting on the daily.

Alright gang, we've got family coming into town so I've got to get my butt in gear.  Cheers to a lovely Easter weekend with your friends and fam...make it a great one!

That time I went to hit "Publish" on this post and my dang computer froze!?!?  Alas, we're back up and running, but my apologies for the dry spell this week, gang.

I'm just in this kinda mood lately---keeping things simple and understated--like this look.  It could be because the past few months have been chaotic with the move and such...or maybe it's because the Bday is approaching and I'm looking to streamline life--and by life I mainly mean my wardrobe (I say this every year by the way---let's see if I nail it this go around)!  But regardless your mood or style, you truly can't go wrong with an easy flowing top and Denim.  Effortlessness at its best!

I've been on the hunt for some fresh Spring Kicks, and Shopbop is serving up quite the Spring Selection.  Think Espadrilles,  Wedges, Lace Ups & Tassels to name a few.  I am DEFINITELY planning on snagging a fun pair of  Quirky Espadrilles--they'll be just perfect for the spring and I'm such a sucker for quirk!   Probably one of my fave trends this spring are TASSELS--full of fun and whimsy and pair perfectly with both dresses and DENIM.  You kinda can't go wrong with any of the above!

The Blue Lace

Let this post be a lesson to us all (myself especially included), that we needn't spend a boatload of cash on an outfit to look good.  I mean, gang, the Dress and Heels total a smidge over $100!!!  That's a pretty good steal in my book.  Oh, and ps, DEFINITELY size up on The Dress--I would normally be a Med in this dress because of my big arse, but I had to go with a Large and just got the top taken in a bit.  Last plug, I wore it to a fundraising event last weekend and got a slew of compliments on it so there you have it!  

Alright, gang, here's to hoping you all have a wonderful Thursday.  I just took my first Pure Barre class since moving to Indy and daaaaaaaang--did that sh*t B U R N.  Lordy, I gotta get back in the groove--I can totally tell I haven't worked out in 3 weeks--yeesh.  Nonetheless, y'all make it a great one!

Springtime is right around the corner which means it's time for us to bring our Sail to Sable Dresses out to play.  This Striped Frock is just perfect for the Easter holiday not to mention the bridal showers, baby showers, and horse racing the spring has to offer.  Sail to Sable has been a spring fave of mine for quite some time (see Tunics, Tweed, & Stripes) and this season's dresses are no exception (how sweet is this Paisley Maxi).  Be sure to take a gander if in need of an Easter Sunday frock.  And if there's still a chill in the air for your Easter, the TRENCH is an absolute must!

The Stripes and Sneaks

If ever I had a signature look, a Dress and a pair of Sneaks would no doubt be it.  In my opinion, you can't get much more comfy and cozy than this.  And with the price point of my Stripes, it's kinda a no brainer (perfect mom-on-the-go look, too)!  Quick little tidbit on my Sneaks, don't shy away from snagging a men's or even boy's pair---just be sure to convert accordingly.  I'm typically a size-and-a-half smaller than a men's size.  As for my Shades, they're a current fave...DEF plan on snagging another Pair!

Alright gang, cheers to a great week.  Had a quick work trip to Lexington yesterday so getting back in the Indy groove currently.  A big thanks to 21c Hotels for the fab accommodations--the hotel and food were simply fantastic!   Make it a great one!

With spring (thankfully) sneaking up on us, I thought it fitting to chat up a few dresses I'm digging in a major way.  Sported all three of these babies while on our cruise and they were simply perfect.  I truly cannot deny my love of a Maxi...to me, they're so universally flattering, easy, and just plain comfy--so easy to just toss on after a day at the beach or on the boat.  Add this Ruffled Lovely (for under $20), and you'll be well equipped for any warm weather getaway.
