The Spring Stripe

dress (Anthropologie), necklace (Anthropologie), heels (Kate Spade THESE PINKS would look perf, too), cuff (Morton James), watch (Cartier), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck)

In the market for a flattering Spring Dress?  This Striped Frock is indeed it!  The chevron placement of the stripes on this frock help to minimize the waist and take the focus off of my 'areas'....Read:  HIPS.  And I have to say, Anthropologie is serving up a major dose of STATEMENT NECKLACES--they were spotted all over the Oscar red carpet so I'm thinking they're here to stay for the Spring/Summer.  Shop this look and some of my fave Baubles below.  Alright gang, make it a great one....going out for a very much needed dinner with my gal pals!  Y'all have a good evening--Spring has Sprung here in the Bluegrass!

Street Checks

top (LOFT), pants (LOFT), heels (See by ChloeOmar + Elsie), coat (JCrew 20% OFF), gloves (Target), bag (Clare VivierOmar + Elsie), shades (Gucci)

Ffffffrrrreeeezing.  Yep.  That was the word that was running rampant through my brain while snapping these pups outside of Lincoln Center.  But I suppose you gotta just take one for the team (and by team I mean fashion) and buck up, right?  Such a wonderful week thus far in the city even with the frigid temps.  Sported this Top & Window Pane Pants during a morning of meetings.  Originally this trip was going to be full force NYFW, but once I decided my gals needed a little NYC adventure of their own, I opted to make it more mother/daughter focused with a side of work.  It's been the perfect trip for the three of us chock full of a broadway play, the Natural Museum of History, American Girl, ice skating in Rockefeller, and a healthy dose of shopping!  It's been quite special to experience this city through my daughters' eyes...memorable indeed.   Alright gang, you all have a great start to your Wednesday---we head back to the Bluegrass tonight and I hear the weather is equally, if not more, insane!  Make it a good one!

Plaid Loves Leo

sweater (Banana Republic, SIMILAR, 40% OFF), shirt (Old Navy 40% OFF), denim (Paige 30% OFF), boots (HunterMetallic 30% OFFPURPLE UNDER $100), bag (GiGi New York 30% OFF), gloves (J.Crew see SIMILAR), shades (Ray Ban), necklaces (Sheer Addiction c/o, love this BRAIDED Option), coat (J.Crew 30% OFF), nails (Jamberry)

The sales they are a' plenty!  This entire rig is more or less on sale with a few exceptions (sunglasses, red wellies).  I'd say the biggest scores here would be the Bag at 30% OFFCoat at 30% OFF, and some BRIGHT WELLIES UNDER $100.  Little DIY on the LEO GLOVES, while I couldn't find my exact version, you can just snip the tips on THESE for a similar feel.  Alright gang, I'm going to do a post here in just a bit devoted to my fave Cyber Monday sales--be sure to give it a whirl (you can take THIS POST from Friday for a test drive in the meantime as the deals still stand on most of the items)!   You all have a great Monday and try not to break the bank!  Make it a good one!

Striped Florals

tote (Barrington c/o), blouse (Talbots c/o), jeans (J.Brand), heels (Isola c/o), sweater (HM c/o), cuff (Morton James), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), necklace (Page Sargisson), shades (Ray Ban)

Along with Leopard, I am an avid believer that stripes too are a neutral.  Paired with florals, checks, graphics, other stripes, the pairing possibilities for stripes are endless.  This look is very much my go to as it encompasses many pieces I love...good ole pair of Boyfriends, a button down, Neutral Heels (available at Monkee's of Lexington for us Kentuckians), and a go with everything Striped Tote.  I like to consider this look polished-mom-on-the-go meets lunch-with-the-gals...but truly you could wear her just about anywhere for daytime.  Alright gang, I've gotta scoot--y'all make it a good one!

Stripes Go Graphic

blouse (J.Crew on SALE), blazer (Express old, OBSESSED WITH THIS), jeans (JBrand), belt (Target), heels (Kate Spade), clutch (Kate Spade), ring (Anna Beck, Lagos), watch (Cartier), bracelets (Sylvia Benson c/o), shades (Gucci)

May I preface this little blurb with the fact that it was crazy windy near this row of stables so apologies for the unruly 'do (probably shouldn't have posted that last shot, but whatevs)!  I wore the upper half of this look to Work with Bubblegum Pink Pants several weeks ago and knew I wanted to give it a run with some Boyfriends.  Perfect for dinner with the gals or even a date night, this graphic black and white combo is both modern and fresh while also crazy comfy.  Definitely plan on pairing this upper half with Red Pants or even keeping her classic with black slacks and a pop of Blue.  Many a possibility with this little graphic number!  Alright gang, make it a good one!

SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT:  only 2 more days to vote for the Better Homes & Gardens Blogger Awards and then I promise I'll zip my trap--a HUGE thank you to the votes received thus far--appreciated more than you know!

Dueling Stripes

jeans (JBrand), coat (Banana Republic Monogram, alternatives HERE & HERE), top (Loft), bag (Linea Pelle c/o), heels (Kate Spade on Sale), bracelet (Stella & Dot), watch (Cartier), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), shades (Gucci)
All of my fave elements are occurring in this rig.  You've got the stripes (duh), a laid back vibe thanks to some Frayed Boyfriends, a touch of femininity with Metallic Heels, and then the Piece de Resistance--a gorgeous Raspberry Satchel.  I literally could wear this look everyday--substituting the heels with some Flats if in mom mode.  Hope y'all had a lovely Labor Day Weekend--I certainly did!  Make it a good one.

The Cutoff

blazer (J.Crew on SALE), blouse (J.Crew, LOVE THIS OPTION), belt (Banana Republic), cutoffs (J.Brand, Alternative ON SALE), heels (French Connection ON SALE), bag (Louis Vuitton), watch (Michael Kors), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), bracelets (J.Crew, Linea Pelle), shades (Ray Ban), necklace (Maya Brenner)
Normally left for the more laid back crowd, I wanted to add polish to the Cutoff with a Blazer and tucked in blouse.  Once we head into fall, I already plan to pair em' with a cozy Sweater & laid back Sneaks.  Piperlime is having an addt'l 20% off sale apparel with code TREAT.  Perfect for us because there's a ton of denim on sale---check them out below!  Make it a good one, gang!

Getting Graphic

shorts (ASOS sold out, options below), blouse (J.Crew), shoes (Kate Spade), bag (Rebecca Minkoff), bracelets (J.Crew, Stella & DotStella & Dot on SALE), ring (Lagos), watch (Michael Kors), shades (Ray Ban)
I am SO BUMMED THESE SHORTS are sold out!!  The good news is; however, Asos does restock their items so you have my word I will keep an eye out for you.  I did spot THESE CANDY COLORED STRIPES as a fun alternative as well as some other graphic stripes below.  Technically you could say there's a lot going on in this rig, but the graphic black & white and METALLIC HEELS keep it crisp and not overbearing.  And don't be so quick to pack up your shorts as the weather starts to transition to fall.  You'll find they make for a perfect pairing with casual SWEATERS. Alright gang, make it a good one and enjoy your Tuesday!
