The Neon Lace

top & skirt (ALC, c/o Voce on Clay--nonlocal online HERE & HERE), heels (Kate Spade, see SIMILAR), clutch (asos old, see HERE & HERE), bracelets (Stia Couture, Adele of Lexington), watch (Daniel Wellington), bracelet (Coordinates, Omar + Elsie), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), shades (Gucci)

You've got the gang at Voce to blame and/or thank for this little number that I am so over the moon for--seriously.  I was getting my Hair Cut by the talented Lindsey when this little two piece number caught my attention from afar.  And therein lies the dilemma with Voce--you go in for a simple cut and color and damnit all if you don't want to empty your wallet on all of their insane threads...insane.  Rag & Bone, Elizabeth & James, Parker, JBrand, Rails, Equipment..the list goes on.  If you follow Voce on Instagram, you'll see what I mean.

One other quick note, I have to send an enormous thank you to Andrew who photographs his lovely girlfriend Grace from A Southern Drawl.  Guy came through in the clutch when I needed some photos, and KT and I had a scheduling conflict.  As nice as he is talented, Andrew was such a pleasure to work with--very appreciative indeed, sir!  Alright gang, y'all have a great start to your week.  Make it a good one!

Fun and Flounce

skirt (Cynthia Rowley, Omar + Elsie, available online HERE), shirt (Zara sold out, super affordable options HERE & HERE), heels (Kate Spade see similar HERE & HERE), clutch (Asos sold out, see similar splurge HERE save HERE), necklaces (two target necklaces doubled up, try TWO of THESE), cuff (see SIMILAR), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), shades (Gucci)

Balance.  This crop thing has got to be all about balance.  We've got some leg and a hint of midriff going on here so we've got to balance her out by covering up the arms and chest and tossing on a sleek pair of close toed metallic heels (open toed would be too tart for my taste).  The black and white palette keeps the rig modern and sleek while the Ruffle Skirt adds a playful element.  Another way to balance the crop is by pairing a Matching Crop and Midi Skirt Set (some stem coverage but showing off the arms).  Oh and a little trick I used in this look and this POST from forever ago---make your Inexpensive Baubles stand out a bit more and appear more 'substantial' by doubling them up--they're affordable enough you can splurge on two!  Alright gang--y'all have a lovely weekend and a VERY sincere Thank You for your kind comments regarding my Casa--much appreciated indeed!

The Fun Frock

dress (Boulee, Morton James Lexington), heels (Sophia Webster limited sizes avail HERE, more sizes for more jingle available HERE), clutch (Asos sold out, similar HEREHERE, great deal HERE), shades (Gucci), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), bracelets (Coordinates available at Omar + ElsieKate Spade)

I'm noticing a little habit developing in my looks these days....Long Sleeved Dresses and an endless supply of black and white (examples 123).  No clue why considering it is basically summer and colors, sleeveless, and the like are all the rage but sometimes I find black and white are equally as fresh and seasonally appropriate as the vibrant hues.  Not to mention they essentially flatter everyone.
Friendly reminder to follow along Morton James' Instagram for fantastic OOTD inspiration--they're  responsible for the lovely frock pictured above as well as a handful of other fave pieces in my arsenal.
Alright gang, hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend.  We indeed did but it is back to the grind we go---make it a good one!

Holiday Sparkle

dress (available at Chan Luu c/o Morton James of Lexington), heels (Kate Spade), clutch (ASOS on SALE under $40!), ring & belt turned HEADBAND (vintage, Street Scene of Lexixngton), tights (Target), necklace (Maya Brenner), bracelets (Sylvia Benson c/o)

A little holiday inspiration for what is sure to be a weekend filled with lots of celebration and cheer.  It's funny, this style dress I typically don't gravitate towards; however, when I spotted it at Morton James, what with the color and flowy fit, I knew I had to sport it!  For those of you both local and non, Morton James is a fab new boutique in the heart of Chevy Chase in Lexington.  It is all about Boho-Glam and the decor alone will have you swooning.  Couple that with the owner, Halie, whose eye for style is so damn spot on (I have a girl crush indeed), and you've got a boutique that is curated impeccably!  I highly recommend you swing on in because they've got a lovely selection of holiday glitz & glam (along with cozy sweaters, denim, and leather for days)--they'll also ship out so non-Lexingtonians don't fear!  And how 'bout me getting all crafty---my headband is actually a vintage belt!  Go figure!  Just a little reminder to continue to think outside the box with the details.  Alright gang, I am wrapping up my work week so it has already been crazy busy (at Toys R Us at 6 am this morning snagging a few last minute stocking stuffers--that's IT--I AM DONE, damnit)!!!!  Make it a great one and enjoy your weekend!  Oh and one last tidbit...huge congrats goes to Kristeen Owens for winning the Beginners Photography Class session--it was a great turnout and lots of good feedback, so as a Thank You, Beginners Photography Class is offering 15% off NOW THRU SUNDAY with coupon code SEERSUCKER--so for all of you in need of last minute Xmas gifts, this is a goodin!
