Hello Sunshine

dress (Zara), shoes (Zara), clutch (JJ Winters), necklaces (BaubleBar, BaubleBar), watch (Cartier), ring (Lagos)
So I discovered something with this look...I REALLY love the look of yellow & lilac together!  I am already envisioning some yellow jeans with a lilac top maybe anchored with a navy or white blazer.  But let's talk about this Yellow Dress (disclaimer here, get yourself a tan prior to wearing unlike my dang pasty legs).  Here's what I love about it...it goes with a slew of colors--turquoise, purple, hot pink, red, black or even white. Big fan of  a frock that's fluid, comfy, & most importantly---versatile!  Alright, gang, enjoy the weekend & make it a good one!

PS:  Think I'm having some comment issues with Disqus--hope to have it resolved shortly!

Indigo Girl

dress (Ronen Chen c/o), shoes (J.Crew), clutch (JJ Winters), ring (Lagos), watch (Cartier), necklace (J.Crew craving THIS & THIS)
Did you get all jazzed up last night?  If you consider watching the Oscars with your mother sporting sweats & Old Navy pj bottoms all jazzed up, then yes, glamorous I was. If I had, however, attended a little soiree last night, I'm loving the idea of a head to toe look in a vibrant indigo hue.  While metallics would have been an easy pairing, I wanted to kick it up a notch with a turquoise clutch.  If I'm being honest, I was a tad underwhelmed with last night's fashion...my two faves had to be Charlize (sucker for short hair obviously & that face) and Naomi Watts--stunner.  I'd love to know, who were your faves of the night?  Make it a good one, gang!
PS:  Added new threads to my Poshmark Closet (HINT:  DVF & TIBI)...make sure you give her a look!

Spotty Situation

dress (DVF, AJs Casuals Lexington, KY), blazer (J.Crew, Similar), shoes (Zara, Love THIS Shade, too), clutch (JJ Winters), ring (Lagos), watch (Cartier), earrings (vintage)

Talk about the perfect dress to transition from day to night!  I am in LOVE with this DVF number--(thank you AJs Casuals)!!  I swear what you would pair with this is endless.  I already envision some ballet flats,  white kitten heels or THESE in white ( I am on a MAD hunt for white shoes--not an easy find), possibly with a neck full of baubles.  Bottom line, if you're going to invest in a frock such as this, make sure you can get some major mileage out of it and it's a versatile little thing.  Y'all make it a good one!

Oh, PS, I am on a mad purging spree--take a gander at My Closet on Poshmark.  If you know me, you know I am one who can easily purge my closet so stay tuned--I've got my mom and sis in town as reinforcements forcing me to edit my beast of a closet--more to come!

Pastel Palette

jeans (DL1961 in Mayhem), shoes (Pour La Victoire), shirt & cardi (J.Crew old, Love this color choice, too), necklaces (BaubleBar/Atlantic Pacific collabo HERE & HERE), clutch (JJ Winters), shades (Gucci), bracelets (J.Crew & Adele of Lexington), watch (Michael Kors)
I couldn't help it..I just couldn't help it!  I broke the Spring Seal, gang....you know, where we all try to put spring vibes out there by dressing as such even though the temperature is supposed to plummet this week, and we technically still have over 2 months left of winter!  What with all the mags teasing us with lighter but vibrant palettes and mother nature spiking into the 60s this weekend--it's just all sorts of unfair I tell you!  I will do my darndest to stay the course and focus on the season at hand, but I'm not making any promises!

Two quick notes regarding closet staples--Jeans & a Nude Wedge--I'm apologizing in advance for the heavy rotation that will undoubtedly ensue with these two numbers.  I've been clocking both of these lovelies for a bit now and can I just say they did not disappoint one single bit!  I'm a creature of habit when it comes to my denim and I have so many of the same two brands that I barely ever stray...I'm so very happy I strayed!  These DL1961s are serving up the perfect amount of stretch & distress--just love 'em.  And as for the nude Pour La Victoire's, they cut over the toe just so and lengthen the leg with their perfect shade of nude--loveliness!  Alright kids, you all enjoy a relaxing Sunday and hopefully soak up this break in the weather!

Trail Blazin'

blazers (J.Crew Aqua, Bloomies--under $60), dress (DVF), belt (Patricia Fields old), shoes (Tracy Reese), clutches (Kate Spade & JJ Winters), ring (Kendra Scott similar), bracelets (J.Crew & Stella & Dot), shades (Gucci), ring (David Yurman), watch (Cartier)
This rig(s) is the direct result of all winter sheaths, shifts, tweeds, suits being at the dry cleaner and having to get a little creative with my summer frocks.  I opted to wear the black blazer for my work meeting, but I still can't decide which is my preference--what's your vote?  Point of this little post is we shall not forget about our spring/summer pieces that may appear at first glance off limits.  Toss on some tights (maybe in a fun shade like red or blue), blazers, turtlenecks underneath, and you my dears will have a perfectly suited winter rig.  Make it a good one, gang!

Fit to be Tied

dress (MillyBella Rose, Lex, KY or HERE), trench (Zara old, Love this GAP trench), shoes (Nine West), clutch (JJ Winters--alternate colors), shades (Colors in OptiCS), bracelet (J.Crew & Voce, Lexington KY), necklace (Stella & Dot), watch (Cartier), ring (David Yurman)
Aside from the print which I am completely digging with this frock, this lovely is beyond versatile!  Not only do the colors give you many options to play with, I took the liberty of tossing on a trench to show it will easily transition to fall.  Try Removing the rope belt and replace her with a brown one or how about trying her out with a leopard-esque printed shoe (shop the look below)....  This number gets an "A" in my book for transitional wear! Moral of the story, just because it may appear to be a summer frock at first glance, with a few simple changes, you can transform summer into fall look quite simply!  Hope y'all have a great start to the week....make it a good one!

orange crush

Dress (Prairie, Monkees of Lexington, gorgeous orange frocks HereHere, or Here), heels (Zara), envelope clutch (JJ Winters or alternatives HereHere, or Here), shades (Chanel), bracelets (Jcrew old, alternatives here)
I am MAJORLY crushing on this hue right now!  It is way more versatile than meets the eye.  Several ways to sport tangerine are COLOR BLOCKED with bright pink, the POP complement to a neutral ensemble (think Navy, Gray, or Camel), or accessorized with EMERALD GREEN JEWELS.  No matter what look you choose, be forewarned, you may just fall in love!
