A Crisp White

blouse (J.Crew 30% OFF), skirt (Francesca's c/o The Mall at Lexington Green see THIS SALE VERSION FOR UNDER $35 & MIDI VERSION ON SALE  ), bag (Talbots 40% off c/o),  heels (J.Crew see similar at 30% off HERE, obsessed with THESE), necklace (Stella & Dot c/o), rings (Shine & Vine c/o, Anna Beck), watch (Daniel Wellington c/o), shades (Gucci), nails (Jamberry c/o)

Always always on the hunt for the perfect white shirt.  This Endless Shirt from J.Crew has proven to be just that.  I love its long length, almost tunic-esque, and yet I can still tuck it into jeans (how great are THESE DISTRESSED I JUST SNAGGED ON SALE).  But let's discuss the more important topic at hand...Black Friday Deals!  How did everyone do?  I ventured out to pick up some things for the kiddies late in the day, but I spent the majority of my shopping right in front of the computer screen which proved to be pretty dangerous--really dangerous actually.  I think this Spotted Fella proved to be my fave purchase of the day---at 25% off I truly couldn't resist.  While it would make the perfect gift for your sister (or sis-in-law), rest assured my sissy will not be getting her paws on this one--you hear that, Steph?  I went ahead and listed some other S A L E items I'm clocking for the ladies in my life below (and maybe myself).  Think Kate Spade at 25% offPiperlime at 25% off, and my FAVE COWLNECK at 40% OFF.

Oh and sidenote for Lexingtonians, if y'all are in the need of a wonderful Santa, sans the crazy mall lines--I'm a big fan of the St. Nick at The Mall at Lexington Green--much more personalized, less lines, WAY better parking--and mom's you can hop on over to Francesca's and snag some goodies like this faux leather skirt--just a thought.  I'll be taking my little one over there Sunday--sadly, big girl is in the know regarding Santa and will be instead cheering on the C A T S at the UK game.  Alright gang, you all enjoy your Saturday--we're headed over to a friends to (hopefully) watch the NOLES close out their undefeated streak!  Make it a great one!

Knits & Leather

sweater (Gap), skirt (Tinley Road, Piperlime love THISTHISTHIS), blouse (J.Crew), clutch/wallet (Merona, Target), heels (Zara), shades (Ray Ban), watch (Cartier), rings (Lagos, David Yurman), lip (Sephora Always Red)

Sure this skirt would look lovely & polished with a Silky Blouse, but I am personally digging the whole chunky vs sleek thing going on here.  Still quite polished but with a bit more comfort and ease.  I have had these dang Cage Shoes since late last year and was not NOT going to sport them with this little number--it called for just a slight bit of edge and these suckers definitely fit the bill!

Alright gang, totally unlike me to solicit support, votes, etc--but I'd be remiss if I didn't ask for a little love.  Better Homes & Gardens nominated s + s for their annual Blogger Awards for fashion & beauty--if you're feeling up for it, sure would appreciate your support--voting is a cinch HERE.  Sincerest thanks in advance--Make it a good one!

Faux Real

skirt (Tinley Road, Piperlime), shirts (HM c/o, J.Crew chambray), vest (J.Crew), crossbody (Elaine Turner c/o), booties (Belle by Sigerson Morrison, SIMILAR), necklace (Sheer Addiction Jewelry c/o), shades (Gucci), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), watch (Michael Kors)
So here’s a few of the many beautiful things about leather.  First of all, it is everywhere this Fall—I mean EVERYWHERE!  Whether it’s piped on pants, trimmed on T-shirts, or the sleeve of your new favorite jacket, you’re going to be hard pressed to avoid this fabulous detailing on your fall wardrobe.  Secondly, it comes in an array of different shapes.  Long gone are the days when leather only complemented pants or jackets.  Nowadays, she pretty much makes a splash on all articles of clothing.  Think skirts (mini, maxi, & midi), dresses, blouses, t-shirts, and vests. Here’s another bonus for Team Leather---she is a CLASSIC!  I still have a cognac BCBG Max Azria leather pencil skirt sitting in my closet (and I wear it more importantly) from post college when I worked there.  So we’re talking about “X” years ago and I still get regular usage out of it (you didn’t think I was really going to divulge my age now did you)!!  Classic is a goodie because if you’re going to invest the money in an authentic leather gem, you better be sure you’re going to be able to wear that lovely for years to come.  But here’s the kicker, if you DON’T want to break the bank, we’ve got FAUX.  Case in point, check out the vegan cognac A-Line skirt I’m sporting.  Now I will admit, I can tell the difference between the real stuff and the faux; however, it isn’t terribly obvious and wouldn’t deter me from wearing it.  Faux is all the rage anyhow, so who gives a hoot if it allows you to maybe try a piece that you couldn’t otherwise afford.
Have y'all remembered to enter the Favery Giveaway?  It's a goodin' so make sure to enter--alright gang, make it a good one---I've got one helluva drive for work today--deliver me!
