Leo Gets Casual

tee (Chico's c/o), jacket (HM see similar HERE love this NAVY Version), shorts (Levis's, Urban Outfitters, see similar HERE), belt (Morton James), sneaks (Converse), bag (Louis Vuitton), cuff (Similar), ring (Kendra Scott, lagos, Anna Beck), necklaces (Target x 2, try doubling up THIS), boyfriends (JBrand), ballets (Loeffler Randall, Omar + Elsie, avail online HERE)

I’m a bit of a broken record when it comes to chatting about Leopard,  my love for it, how it’s a neutral, yada yada yada.  But when you have a love for something that never disappoints, always adds a little something to your look, and essentially goes with any and everything, well, I think it warrants some repetition!
So let’s chat about the versatility of this Leopard Tee shall we now?  You all know I like to tomboy up just about anything and adding a pair of denim cutoffs a khaki cargo jacket, and some sneaks will toughen up the Leo just right.  Adding some Boyfriends, some chunky baubles, and a pair of Printed Ballets still keep the Leo casual but add a hint of femininity as well which I’m always a fan of.  I also envision topping the Leo with a brightly colored blazer and a high waisted skirt for a lovely work look.  What do you all think of the dual animal print?  At first I was a bit on the fence as the prints don’t mirror one another, but I kinda dig the quirk of pairing two prints---the key I believe it to keep it subtle.
Just a little random sidenote as I know many of us are traveling quite a bit this part of summer (I’m actually already prepping, aka shopping, for a Brazil trip in the fall)—may I suggest outfits such as these for your trips, the versatility of the Leo will carry you through your travels and indeed make any Destination Fabulous!  Alright gang, make it a good one…enjoy your week!

Striped Florals

tote (Barrington c/o), blouse (Talbots c/o), jeans (J.Brand), heels (Isola c/o), sweater (HM c/o), cuff (Morton James), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), necklace (Page Sargisson), shades (Ray Ban)

Along with Leopard, I am an avid believer that stripes too are a neutral.  Paired with florals, checks, graphics, other stripes, the pairing possibilities for stripes are endless.  This look is very much my go to as it encompasses many pieces I love...good ole pair of Boyfriends, a button down, Neutral Heels (available at Monkee's of Lexington for us Kentuckians), and a go with everything Striped Tote.  I like to consider this look polished-mom-on-the-go meets lunch-with-the-gals...but truly you could wear her just about anywhere for daytime.  Alright gang, I've gotta scoot--y'all make it a good one!

Stripes Go Graphic

blouse (J.Crew on SALE), blazer (Express old, OBSESSED WITH THIS), jeans (JBrand), belt (Target), heels (Kate Spade), clutch (Kate Spade), ring (Anna Beck, Lagos), watch (Cartier), bracelets (Sylvia Benson c/o), shades (Gucci)

May I preface this little blurb with the fact that it was crazy windy near this row of stables so apologies for the unruly 'do (probably shouldn't have posted that last shot, but whatevs)!  I wore the upper half of this look to Work with Bubblegum Pink Pants several weeks ago and knew I wanted to give it a run with some Boyfriends.  Perfect for dinner with the gals or even a date night, this graphic black and white combo is both modern and fresh while also crazy comfy.  Definitely plan on pairing this upper half with Red Pants or even keeping her classic with black slacks and a pop of Blue.  Many a possibility with this little graphic number!  Alright gang, make it a good one!

SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT:  only 2 more days to vote for the Better Homes & Gardens Blogger Awards and then I promise I'll zip my trap--a HUGE thank you to the votes received thus far--appreciated more than you know!

Valentine's Stripes

sweater (Talbots c/o 25% off), jeans (JBrand), heels (J.Crew), coat (J.Crew), gloves (Target DIY), bag (Michael Kors), shades (Gucci), lip (Sephora Lip Stain Always Red)

Wore this little number out for din with some of my fave gals 'round town (McKayla, Sis, Mandy--unfortunately sans Tingle).  Further proving my point from Yesterday's Post that while hearts, love, red and the like are def seasonally appropriate, you can certainly sport them for many occasions.  Love the idea of pairing something quite girly like this Sweater with more tomboy, relaxed fit Denim.  In my personal opinion no denim looks better with a heel than boyfriend fit--I just love the opposition of the relaxed vs feminine.  Need a few more ideas for the upcoming date night this Friday, take a gander HERE and HERE.  Alright gang, make it a good one!

Cozy Knits

sweater (HM Men's c/o see similar chunky knits HEREBEST DEAL HERE), jeans (JBrand), scarf (Zara last seen in stores, other plaids HEREHERE, and HERE), heels (J.Crew), bag (Burberry), watch (Cartier), bracelets (Sylvia Benson c/o), rings (David Yurman, Anna Beck), shades (Ray Ban)

"Do NOT come home from NYC without the Zara blanket scarf--dangit, Jenny--I NEED that scarf--sucker is sold out everywhere!"  Had the poor BFF on a wild goose chase in the city--and boy did the kid deliver--hell of a beautiful thing that friendship is...don't know what I'd do without her #LYMI.
But aside from my fab gal & the coziness of the scarf (see alternatives above), the relaxed fit of the boyfriends & the men's HM sweater both complement the cozy, chill factor of this look.  Balance the relax with a dose of femininity in the way of a Leopard Heel and I just may have my current fave look.  Polished yet approachable and relaxed--what's better than that?  Y'all make it a great one--we gots ourselves a little winter wonderland in the Bluegrass this week!

Orange Delight

jacket (Rebecca Minkoff, Bib + Tuck c/o), jeans (JBrand, see similar), heels (Kate Spade), tshirt (J.Crew), bag (Michael Kors), bracelet (Stella & Dot), rings (David Yurman), watch (Cartier), shades (Michael Kors)

Kinda had to sport this color combo with Halloween right around the corner---also tried a little orange & polka dot action HERE for work today.  And while I'm digging this color combo quite a bit--I'm digging where I snagged this Rebecca Minkoff Becky Blazer from even more.  May I introduce you to Bib & Tuck......

Basically you have two super chic gals coincidentally both named Sari who were, like most of us girls, avid fans of swapping clothes with one another while in college in an effort to save some jingle.  Well, they decided to take this concept, thank heavens, to the rest of the world and have curated an insane collection of closets for us to shop from at a silly (and by silly I mean so dang good) price point!  Think shopping the closets of Mara Hoffman, Alicia Lund from Cheetah is the New Black, and my latest girl crush who I just adored while at Lucky Fabb, Verena Von Pfetten.  I was fortunate enough to have snaked the Rebecca Minkoff blazer above along with a gorgeous white DVF frock.  I'm seriously obsessed with this concept and clearly so is Refinery29, Marie Clare, & Vogue as they've been featured in all three!  Make sure you take a gander at Bib & Tuck, think you'll be pretty pleased you did!  Make it a good one, gang!

Dueling Stripes

jeans (JBrand), coat (Banana Republic Monogram, alternatives HERE & HERE), top (Loft), bag (Linea Pelle c/o), heels (Kate Spade on Sale), bracelet (Stella & Dot), watch (Cartier), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), shades (Gucci)
All of my fave elements are occurring in this rig.  You've got the stripes (duh), a laid back vibe thanks to some Frayed Boyfriends, a touch of femininity with Metallic Heels, and then the Piece de Resistance--a gorgeous Raspberry Satchel.  I literally could wear this look everyday--substituting the heels with some Flats if in mom mode.  Hope y'all had a lovely Labor Day Weekend--I certainly did!  Make it a good one.
