Easy Embroidery

dress (SheInside UNDER $30), sandals (Donald Pliner, how gorg are THESE & THESE), cuff (Similar), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), shades (Gucci c/o SmartBuyGlasses)

The flow, the print, the colors, the price---I knew I had to have THIS DRESS after seeing my best gal, Jenny, sport it in NYC.  And speaking of solid prices, make sure to check out yesterday's THE SALES post--found some great gems on crazy good sale.
Alright gang, gonna keep her short and sweet today---we're still being lazy bums in bed on this rainy Sunday and that is quite alright with me!  Y'all make it a good one and enjoy the weekend!

The Sales

'Tis the weekend for pools, beaches, boats, football, and shopping---tons and tons of S A L E shopping.  Before getting our butts in gear for the pool, I had to scour through the insane sales going on this weekend to bookmark some of my craves for us.  It's gonna be a doozy to narrow our selections down, gang, but never has there been a better time to snag some end of summer deals and stock up on some fabulous fall finds.  Nordstrom (see COGNACLEO, & PARKA), J.Crew (see LOVE, TIE DYE, & ANCHORS), and C Wonder ( see KITTYDOTS, & CAMEL) are serving up some of my current craves.  Best of luck on your hunt--let's all try to pace ourselves shall we now?  I can already tell the SNEAKS are going to be my demise, damnit.  Y'all make it a great one and enjoy the long weekend!  Happy Hunting!

Seminole Style--The Kickoff

dress (Express c/o), vest (Express c/o), shades (Express c/o), cuff (Express c/o), clutch (Clare Vivier flat version), sneaks (Converse), watch (Michael Kors), bracelets (Coordinates, Omar + ElsieKate SpadeLinea Pelle), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck)

As the rookie of the group, I'm quite excited to be teaming up with my fellow Seminoles KristinCathy, & Lacey for this year's Seminole Style Series!  In celebration of football season kicking off this weekend, we'll be bringing you weekly game day looks each Thursday.  Some ideal for the actual stadium, some for a little house soiree, or maybe even over some wings & brews.  Have to say this little Number would be perf for the latter two--if not scorching hot, I'd sport tailgating, too.  And while the dress and Vest make for a great game day pairing, I'm kinda more excited about these skirts I snaked at the same time (see HoundstoothFloral, and Red Midi) all on crazy good sale!  Alright gang, make sure to check out the other gals for some solid game day inspo---y'all enjoy your weekend and.......

The Rails

top (Lucy Paris, snagged THIS ONE, too), skirt (Zara from last year, love this White Skirt), heels (Kate Spade, craving THESE METALLICS), bag (Kate Spade), cuff (SIMILAR ON SALE), rings (Anna Beck, Lagos), bracelets (Kate Spade), shades (Gucci c/o), necklaces (target x 2)

Let me quickly start off with a disclaimer regarding the side slit on this skirt---last time I wore this was last year in NYC with my best friend, Jenn, and split the hell outta of it while I more or less jumped on her back a la piggyback--anything but graceful.  I have yet to take it to seamstress to have it sewn up an inch or so--my apologies for the ridiculously, albeit temporary, high slit.  But onto the rest of the rig, yes?
While I was perusing the sale at Bloomingdale's, I came across this BRAND and was relatively impressed considering the price point.  The print was entirely too fun to pass up and since I've been on a black and white kick this summer, this cropped number was pretty perfect for me (scored this one, too).  In keeping with the b & w theme, make sure to check out some other fun (and affordable) pieces from Lucy Paris below.
A sincere thank you to Stacey Gudeman for snapping these shots on the fly--she's such a gem and so very great to work with!  Alright gang, hope you all have a great start to your Thursday!  Make it a great one!

Get Spotted

dress (Choies ON SALE), bag (GiGi New York c/o), heels (Isola c/o), hat (Gap, similar), watch (Michael Kors), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), bracelets (Coordinates, Omar + Elsie, Kate Spade), necklace (Maya Brenner)

While we're still in the thick of summer (thank goodness), I can't help but sorta kinda start thinking about pieces for fall.  I know, I hate when I do this, putting the seasonal cart before the horse, but I think since school just started back up, I know it's just a matter of time before the temps start to dip.  So with that being said, while This MAXI speaks more towards the summer months, I definitely plan on throwing a Cable Knit Sweater over it with some Red Sneaks for the fall.  What needs no help transitioning into next season?  This Gigi New York Lauren Bag.  Navy (and leopard) are the best neutrals in my opinion and the crossbody style is so up my alley--no doubts I will be sporting this sucker a ton in the upcoming months--just love it!  To celebrate the launch of the Lauren, s + s readers can receive FREE SHIPPING on any Gigi Purchase of $100 or more with code SSFREESHIP (valid until 8/22). I own many a Gigi (see HERE and HERE), but I've gotta say, I think the Lauren takes the prize.
Alright gang, cheers to a lovely weekend---we've got zilch on deck and I am thrilled!  No plans sound just fine to me--make it a good one!

Off the Grid

dress (Friends & Associates, Voce on Clay, Lexington, see other checks below), satchel (Cambridge Satchel, how cute is this GOLD one), sneaks (Converse), cuff (Similar), watch (Michael Kors), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), shades (Banana Republic, c/o, see similar HERE)

Snagged this adorable jumper after getting my haircut at Voce.  Yep, you read that right, a salon and a boutique wrapped in one..otherwise known as a damn danger zone---but in the best kinda way.  And you all know my first go to is pairing a frock with Sneaks because it makes it more comfy and kinda de-girlies (is that a word?) it.  Good news for us plaid/check lovers--it's here to stay for the fall--in a major way.  This Plaid Midi and This Checked Number are just two of the several pieces I've been eyeing lately.  Make sure to check out more plaid, gingham, and the like below--ALL UNDER $100 and ready to transition to Fall.  Alright gang, make it a good one and enjoy your evening!

The Dress Up

dress (Mara Hoffman, c/o Morton James, SPLURGE option available online HERE--SAVE option available HERE), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), bracelets (J.Crew, cuff Similar)

Aside from them being darling, lovely, sweet as pie....the gals at Morton James really spoiled me when they let me take this Mara Hoffman Beauty for a test drive.  And oh my...she surely did not disappoint.  The details on this maxi are show stopping on their own but then you add the primary colors, the lavender, the back, the flow...Good Lord, it was all I could do to return this to its rightful owner (Halie, I may hold you to Brazil my dear).
This lovely too much of a splurge?  Don't fret, I've been on quite a maxi kick this summer (see HERE & HERE) and just snagged THIS EMBROIDERED MAXI at a dang steal as well as this SPLATTER PAINT MAXI.  But regardless the price tag, do remember we can carry many maxis into the fall---pair em' with some SNEAKS or BOOTIES along with a DENIM JACKET and we've got ourselves a perfect fall rig.
Alright gang, have a great start to your week...make it a good one!
