Toasty Tyke

Talking tyke fashion today---sometimes it's tricky to keep the little ones stylish when it's so dang cold outside but I've found a couple of tricks I invest in each season.  Hats.  I think they instantly adds an element of cuteness to any children's look--this Monster Hat from Joseph Beth is hands down one of my fave winter accessories for the little ladies this year (they have the cutest kid's section filled with adorable accessories, too).  Outerwear.  Think Puffs and Vests--both super cozy, warm, and come in great prints and colors.  They're the main piece of the outfit so I typically invest in a solid one each year for each of the girls---just snagged this Puffer Jacket at 30% OFF.  And finally, Boots.  We are constantly schlepping in and out of the house so it is key that the kiddies have warm and "easy to toss on" boots each winter.  Hunters and Uggs have proven to be our faves year after year.  Listed some great sale hats, jackets, and boots below--Gap at 40% offOld Navy at 40% off, and Crewcuts at 30% off.   Cheers to a lovely Sunday--y'all enjoy and make it a good one!
PS:  Big thanks to my big girl for modeling for s + s and BPC--such a champ!

A Crisp White

blouse (J.Crew 30% OFF), skirt (Francesca's c/o The Mall at Lexington Green see THIS SALE VERSION FOR UNDER $35 & MIDI VERSION ON SALE  ), bag (Talbots 40% off c/o),  heels (J.Crew see similar at 30% off HERE, obsessed with THESE), necklace (Stella & Dot c/o), rings (Shine & Vine c/o, Anna Beck), watch (Daniel Wellington c/o), shades (Gucci), nails (Jamberry c/o)

Always always on the hunt for the perfect white shirt.  This Endless Shirt from J.Crew has proven to be just that.  I love its long length, almost tunic-esque, and yet I can still tuck it into jeans (how great are THESE DISTRESSED I JUST SNAGGED ON SALE).  But let's discuss the more important topic at hand...Black Friday Deals!  How did everyone do?  I ventured out to pick up some things for the kiddies late in the day, but I spent the majority of my shopping right in front of the computer screen which proved to be pretty dangerous--really dangerous actually.  I think this Spotted Fella proved to be my fave purchase of the day---at 25% off I truly couldn't resist.  While it would make the perfect gift for your sister (or sis-in-law), rest assured my sissy will not be getting her paws on this one--you hear that, Steph?  I went ahead and listed some other S A L E items I'm clocking for the ladies in my life below (and maybe myself).  Think Kate Spade at 25% offPiperlime at 25% off, and my FAVE COWLNECK at 40% OFF.

Oh and sidenote for Lexingtonians, if y'all are in the need of a wonderful Santa, sans the crazy mall lines--I'm a big fan of the St. Nick at The Mall at Lexington Green--much more personalized, less lines, WAY better parking--and mom's you can hop on over to Francesca's and snag some goodies like this faux leather skirt--just a thought.  I'll be taking my little one over there Sunday--sadly, big girl is in the know regarding Santa and will be instead cheering on the C A T S at the UK game.  Alright gang, you all enjoy your Saturday--we're headed over to a friends to (hopefully) watch the NOLES close out their undefeated streak!  Make it a great one!

The Deals

Deals for dang days!  I've done my best to round up where I've been scouting and scoring---my main stomping grounds have been Piperlime at 25% OFF SITEWIDE with code THANKFUL25 (snagged THESE LEOS & THIS SATCHEL), Nordstrom (picked up THESE FLORAL BEAUTIES and THIS for my youngest), J.Crew at 30% off FULL PRICE (got my oldest this PUFF), and GAP at 50% off EVERYTHING (stocked up on my Cableknits SIZE UP).  I said this last year and I'm clearly not practicing what I've preached, but let's try to pace ourselves...the deals are good indeed but don't buy if you wouldn't buy full price (not saying I always adhere to that model, but I def try to)!!  Alright gang, happy shopping...hope y'all had a lovely time with the family and friends yesterday--make it a successful one!

Keeping the Classics

turtleneck (J.Crew 30% off with code HOLIDAY), coat (J.Crew 30% off with code HOLIDAY), denim (dL 1961 ON SALE), belt (Linea Pelle c/o ON SALE), flats (Loeffler Randall ON SALE just snagged these LEO's at 25% off with THANKFUL25), bag (Clare Vivier OBSESSED with this spotted guy), ring (Shine on Vine), shades (Gucci)

Happy Thanksgiving, Gang!  Notice anything trending in the above captions?  S A L E S!  It's started indeed--not sure why they wait until Friday to get the ball rolling because from where I stand, it looks like the Black Friday deals are well underway (PIPERLIME at 25% offJ.CREW at 30% off GAP at 50% off ).  This classic rig pictured above is more or less entirely on sale (I may finally scoop up this guy in RED).  While obviously this is the time for giving and gifting, I also think it's a great time to snag those higher priced pieces at a great price--which I maaaay have just snaked these LEOs & this spotted lovely I've been clocking at 25% off with code THANKFUL25.  I really need to get my hind up from this seat and start cooking or else I'm gonna break the bank by day's end.  Real quickly; however, I'm definitely going to check out the GAP for the kiddies as they're having 50% off everything....again, I will neither confirm nor deny if I just scored THIS FUR PUFF in navy.  Alright gang, onto the more important task at hand---giving thanks with the ones you love.  Wishing you all the most wonderful Thanksgiving Day with you and yours--I truly hope you have a fantastic day and indeed make it a memorable one!  Cheers from Kentucky--feel free to shop the look and my recent SALE purchases below!

Get Glitzed

So after snagging these Sequin Leggings today in prep for upcoming holiday parties, I figured I'd (temporarily) stray from the gift guides to bring us gals a little sparkly inspo for the inevitable soirees we'll be attending.  I think the key with sparkle is to more or less tone down EVERYTHING else---for instance, to my girlfriend's (all girl) annual holiday party I will sport the Leggings with a cozy Knit and either ballet flats or I may be so bold as to toss on These.  But I am so very smitten with THIS LOVELY under a leather jacket or blazer---so great for NYE, too!  This Tee is another versatile piece I've had for ages and still love (see HERE) Alright gang, feel free to scope out the sparkle below.  Hope y'all have a relaxing evening--make it a good one!

Masculine & Feminine

shirt (French Connection c/o Morton James love this Chambray Version, too), jeans (Paige ON SALE), oxfords (Zara old, see similar ON SALE HERE), bag (Clare Vivier see Clutch Version), rings (Anna Beck, Shine on Vine), shades (Gucci), nails (Jamberry c/o)

Love myself a good tomboy look any day of the week.  This French Connection top from Morton James is the perfect blend of masculine meets feminine.  Part masculine for its buttoned up full coverage vibe and yet the billowy shape adds the perfect touch of girly (LOFT also has some good SALE options).  If you're in the market for some fellow French Connection threads, I've added a few below I'm eyeing including my BLACK JUMPSUIT ON SALE...I can attest that this one is a goodin'...perfect for holiday soirees!  If local, make sure you swing by Morton James on Small Business Saturday this weekend as they have an amaze selection of French Connection --the entire store (including my shirt above) will be on sale.  Shoes are 40% off--AND sale items will be marked down to 75% off!  Definitely worth a trip--even if not local, they'll ship out of state, too!  Alright gang, here's to a great Tuesday---make it a good one!

The Hair Day

You kinda know a good hair day right from the start.  The texture of your hair is on point.  The way it's falling just so. The frizzies are tame and not acting ornery.  Who cares that your skin isn't cooperating this morning....your hair's got you.  Maybe the rig isn't really up to snuff but you're having a good hair day so does it really even matter?   I'd like to think when I'm having a good hair day, all is right in the world.  And let's just say these kinds of days are more often than not since I've been asked to give L'Oreal Paris Advanced Hair Care a whirl.  So I'll close it out with this...
Dear Hair,  while I color the heck out of you (let's be honest, do we even know our true color anymore), dry you to the bone with heat and styling products, put you in a ball cap on a regular basis, constantly fiddle with you to make sure my side sweep is just so, have two little nuggets constantly messing you about, you're pretty darn good to me.  You, along with the help of  L'Oreal Paris Advanced Hair Care, stylishly serve it up on a regular basis and go with the flow even though I change your color up consistently and have an addiction with taking scissors to you.  You two are keepers no doubt!  Cheers to a lovely start to your week...you (and your locks) make it a good one!

We ladies know that not all locks are created equal, and so does L’OrĂ©al Paris. With the Advanced Haircare line, Glam girls have the power to pick their shampoo, conditioner and treatment based on their specific strand needs, taking their tresses to luxurious levels. Beautiful hair has never been more personal.
