My intention was to blog this sucker this morning but alas, the kids and I were lazy little bums and it was fantastic to just do a whole lotta nothin'.  So bringing this to y'all while watching the Globes and I'm going to toss Kate Hudson, Gwenyth, and Jessica Chastain out there as my faves of the night.  
I've long loved Mara Hoffman (see HERE & HERE)--her prints are hands down one of my favorites....and this Camel Pullover (ON SALE) is no exception.  I chose to balance out the quirk with a classic Chambray and the Denim I Swear By.  Other item this winter (and no doubt next fall) I'm swearing by--these Joie Barlow Booties...I scored mine several months ago from Morton James here in Lex and they have proven to be a staple.  So dang comfy and look good with just about everything---highly recommend!  Alright gang, y'all have a good evening!

A Vacation Maxi

Gang I need to apologize as I posted a preview shot of this look on INSTAGRAM yesterday and damnit if the dress isn't now sold out!?!?  But the moral of this post's story was more about how a maxi is the perfect travel piece for a warm weather getaway (that hopefully many of you all will be taking during this hellish winter).  I sported this number both in Florida for my mom's bday brunch and South America (along with a handfull of other MAXIS), and I swear by packing maxis--they're just an easy foolproof (and comfy) look.  With that being said, I've scouted a few I'm currently digging below---

The Horse

You live in Lexington (or anywhere in Kentucky for that matter) you love two things---Horses and UK basketball.  You're kind of considered insane if you don't love both.  With that being said, I'm loving this look for several reasons---the Horse Blouse from Julie Brown is such a perfect homage to our city otherwise known as the Horse Capital.  As is one of my fave restaurants in town, Palmers Fresh Grill.  Aside from the delicious menu, the decor you all---it. is. spot. on.  The perfect marriage of modern yet cozy, with its insane photos of horses throughout, I just simply adore the vibe of this restaurant.  Nestled right next to Joseph Beth Bookstore, it is a perfect place to wind down after a day of shopping.  And then there's the 1/2 bottles of wine thing on Tuesdays---done and done.  

Alright gang, cheers to a lovely weekend---we've got a little slumber party action going on at my casa tonight!  Y'all make it a great one!

A very belated Happy New Year, gang!  Just now getting back into the states after a phenomenal getaway to Uruguay and Argentina.  To say the trip was incredible would be quite the understatement---full of culture and an undeniable energy--it was magical!

So after a little hiatus, I hear I'm in for quite the winter treat upon getting back into Lex (I'm about to board my flight in ATL and can already feel the chill from within the airport)---ugh--sister ain't ready for it at all!  My skin is going to revolt I just know it.  Hang in there with me as I get myself situated and organized for the new year---I'll have some regular posts coming our way from here on out. Real quick tidbit on the rig, this Fair Isle from Old Navy is on crazy good sale under $20!!  With an upcoming trip to Sundance, I'm still on the hunt for affordable knits and this one is a goodin.
