A very belated Happy New Year, gang!  Just now getting back into the states after a phenomenal getaway to Uruguay and Argentina.  To say the trip was incredible would be quite the understatement---full of culture and an undeniable energy--it was magical!

So after a little hiatus, I hear I'm in for quite the winter treat upon getting back into Lex (I'm about to board my flight in ATL and can already feel the chill from within the airport)---ugh--sister ain't ready for it at all!  My skin is going to revolt I just know it.  Hang in there with me as I get myself situated and organized for the new year---I'll have some regular posts coming our way from here on out. Real quick tidbit on the rig, this Fair Isle from Old Navy is on crazy good sale under $20!!  With an upcoming trip to Sundance, I'm still on the hunt for affordable knits and this one is a goodin. I love myself a good Drop Waist Dress.  They're fun and feminine, not to mention they're comfy, too.  My apologies that my stripe one above is no longer avail, but I found a handful of super cute options below (teaser).

More often than not, and when not working, this is what you'll see me sporting.  A perfectly cozy White Button Down (I'm wearing the linen version), a detailed pair of Denim, and of course, some Sneaks.  It's pretty plain and simple, but that's exactly what I love about it.  The navy Crossbody rounds out the classic feel just perfectly.  

Side Note:  Thank heavens I made a pit stop to Voce after snapping these shots because good grief did I need a color and cut!  Rest assured, Shawnee did her thang and the locks are now more tame and roots free!   Y'all enjoy your Labor Day and make sure to check out Yesterday's Post and sneak in some SALE SHOPPING ....make it a good one!

Snagged this adorable jumper after getting my haircut at Voce.  Yep, you read that right, a salon and a boutique wrapped in one..otherwise known as a damn danger zone---but in the best kinda way.  And you all know my first go to is pairing a frock with Sneaks because it makes it more comfy and kinda de-girlies (is that a word?) it.  Good news for us plaid/check lovers--it's here to stay for the fall--in a major way.  This Plaid Midi and This Checked Number are just two of the several pieces I've been eyeing lately.  Make sure to check out more plaid, gingham, and the like below--ALL UNDER $100 and ready to transition to Fall.  Alright gang, make it a good one and enjoy your evening!

A Cozy Sunday

If I could wear a rig like this every day, I would.  Crazy cozy, pulled together, and a little bit of FUN is just my kinda look.  An avid SNEAKER FAN for quite some time, I'm quite thrilled sneaks are all the rage this spring (although even if they weren't, I'd totally still sport them on the regular).  In the market for a new pair?  How fantastic are THESE--yes, yes, yes!  

Hope y'all are having a lovely weekend--mine has been one of my fave kinds chalked full of this & that.  While the little ladies were with their dad, I had some good girlfriend time, good eats, outside reading time, sleep and a solo movie--my definition of a perfect weekend alone--wrapping it up with some brunch with a dear friend!  Y'all make it a good one!

What is there to say about this rig other than stating the obvious---sucker is crazy comfortable!  And while I love a head to toe casual look, y'all know I had to add a slight dose of polish with the scarf and a leather jacket.  Just a little something to pull it all together.  One last finishing touch to amp up the sweats, a RED LIP, kinda love that it's not an obvious pairing and ups the ante a bit.
