I'm having a major love affair with navy right now. I mean really, it's always been there, but it's at an all time high currently. It's kind of ridiculous considering color is all the rage this spring--don't worry gang, I'll cheat on neutrals soon enough! Pattern mixing is still going strong this spring and my advice when doing a stripe pairing--make one more subdued than the other (ie: the tank under the bold striped jacket).
Two other orders of business. Numero uno, I 'think' I've decided to grow out the locks--just to a chin length shaggy bob--so this serves as your warning--horrible hair days to follow! Have you ever grown out a hair cut this short? It is horrid, gang, truly--you want to grab scissors on the daily (which I'm not saying I won't do, but I'm going to try my darndest to push through the ugly). Secondly, remember my Kristin Tatem PSA? Well, if you Lexingtonians are in need of a new headshot for your biz, make sure you join myself & Kristin this Friday for a day of pampering & styling--she still has a few slots left so make sure you take a gander HERE for the deets! Alright kids, make it a good one!

Love this mix of the stripes + lace - I actually ordered this jacket online when it first came out, but the fit was just not right on me...so bummed because it is truly adorable! :(

ReplyDeleteLove this look! Love the bold stripes with lace skirt! How am I just now realizing you're a Lexington girl?! Wish I had checked in earlier in the week. I would have loved to have a new headshot done but none of the available times work for me.

Personally, I like your short hairstyle. However, if you are intent on growing it out, I recommend that you do what I did -- get enough extensions installed in the back to make a nice pony tail, and wear your hair up everyday. Your current do would look great with a pony tail, and within about 4 months your hair will have grown enough to have the extensions removed. I found this method a little bit high maintenance, but absolutely painless.
ReplyDeleteI love your jacket! I grew out a haircut like yours once, it's really important to get the back trimmed regularly so it doesn't turn into a mullet ;)

I'm taking your picture in to get my shaggy chin length bob cut into your short style. It's like a passing of the torch.
ReplyDeleteOh, I know all about growing out the short hair cut! It's been a rough road, but I am determined to keep it going! Good luck!

You have such a pretty face, but it's always hidden behind those sunglasses. Please take them off more often (either that or switch them out now and again). Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI can perfectly understand your infatuation with Navy, you look extremely chic and very stylish. The jacket is on my shoppping list, perhaps something that would take you into another season or two!
ReplyDeleteVery nice outfit!
