Having a much needed lazy Sunday after taking my girls and 4 of their friends to Kings Island in Cincy yesterday for Chase's Bday---such a fantastic time but good grief am I zonked.  And so what does one do when they're zonked and still in their pjs at 1pm?  Online peruse/shop/bookmark of course.  Aside from the black and white spell I'm currently under--I am ADORING all things blue.  It screams summer to me and thankfully complements my skin tone and I believe most everybody's for that matter.  Bridal showers, baby showers, afternoon weddings and the like would all be perfect venues for these looks above.  Can we discuss two quickies?   I'm in the market for a matching Crop Top Set, and the one above certainly caught my eye.  Also grabbing my attention---this Blue Trapeze Dress (cousin to this lovelywhich is only $121--a steal if you ask me considering you could wear it all summer long!  Alright gang, pizza is en route to mi casa, Orange is the New Black season 2 is awaiting my viewing, and sister is planning on doing a whole lotta nothin' today---Sunday Perfection!  You all enjoy your day and make it a great one---shop the looks below!

And We're Off.....

beth:  dress (Milly c/o Clodhoppers, Louisville), shoes (Boutique 9), necklace (Adele of Lexington), ring (Lagos), watch (Cartier)
danielle:  dress (Milly c/o Clodhoppers, Louisville), earrings & clutch (Dandelion Boutique), shoes (Zara)

I must give credit where the proper credit is due.  This upcoming week full of fabulous Derby looks is the brain child of my best blogging pal, Danielle from Lou What Wear.  Danielle is totes in the know when it comes to Derby week so when I was asked to join in the on the fun and snap some Derby looks with her lovely photog, Whitney Neal, I jumped at the chance.  Honestly, I don't know what was more fun--getting all dolled up in these fun Milly frocks compliments of Clodhoppers or laughing my hind off with Danielle--kid is a stitch--seriously! If I may make a suggestion if purchasing a frock for this weekend's race, make sure you can get extra 'mileage' out of it...these dresses can totally be worn for the big day or a shower (bridal/baby), summer wedding, etc--multipurpose is key for me!

Joining in on the Derby fesitivities is Adele of Lexington--even if you're a non Kentuckian, mention
s + s when calling and they'll ship your baubles for free!  Alright, gang, make it a good one & stay tuned for more collabo's with Danielle and myself throughout the week!

Fit to be Tied

dress (MillyBella Rose, Lex, KY or HERE), trench (Zara old, Love this GAP trench), shoes (Nine West), clutch (JJ Winters--alternate colors), shades (Colors in OptiCS), bracelet (J.Crew & Voce, Lexington KY), necklace (Stella & Dot), watch (Cartier), ring (David Yurman)
Aside from the print which I am completely digging with this frock, this lovely is beyond versatile!  Not only do the colors give you many options to play with, I took the liberty of tossing on a trench to show it will easily transition to fall.  Try Removing the rope belt and replace her with a brown one or how about trying her out with a leopard-esque printed shoe (shop the look below)....  This number gets an "A" in my book for transitional wear! Moral of the story, just because it may appear to be a summer frock at first glance, with a few simple changes, you can transform summer into fall look quite simply!  Hope y'all have a great start to the week....make it a good one!
