Having a much needed lazy Sunday after taking my girls and 4 of their friends to Kings Island in Cincy yesterday for Chase's Bday---such a fantastic time but good grief am I zonked.  And so what does one do when they're zonked and still in their pjs at 1pm?  Online peruse/shop/bookmark of course.  Aside from the black and white spell I'm currently under--I am ADORING all things blue.  It screams summer to me and thankfully complements my skin tone and I believe most everybody's for that matter.  Bridal showers, baby showers, afternoon weddings and the like would all be perfect venues for these looks above.  Can we discuss two quickies?   I'm in the market for a matching Crop Top Set, and the one above certainly caught my eye.  Also grabbing my attention---this Blue Trapeze Dress (cousin to this lovelywhich is only $121--a steal if you ask me considering you could wear it all summer long!  Alright gang, pizza is en route to mi casa, Orange is the New Black season 2 is awaiting my viewing, and sister is planning on doing a whole lotta nothin' today---Sunday Perfection!  You all enjoy your day and make it a great one---shop the looks below!

The Sherbert

sweater (Autumn Cashmere, AJs Casual Lexington), jeans (Kate Spade, AJs Casuals Lexington), shirt (J.Crew alternate option), shoes (Pour La Victoire), clutch (Zara), bracelets (J.Crew, Adele of Lexington, Stella & Dot), watch (Michael Kors), shades (Gucci)
Surely you've heard that pastels are making a major splash this spring.  Don't hold off until then to sport it--just toss on some layers be it chambray, denim, or a trench & you can totally sport the trend prior to the warmer months (which we had a glimpse of yesterday)!  Y'all make it a good one & we'll chat Monday!

Repeat Offender

pants (Citizens of Humanity), tee (Crewcuts), jacket (GAP, similar), vest (J.Crew), heels (J.Crew), clutch (Kate Spade), shades (Gucci), gloves (Target), watch (Tag Heuer), bracelets (Stella & Dot, Voce on Clay, Asos)
Offending repetitiously in a multitude of ways, gang.  Just sported these Pants Several Posts Ago (which was also shot in this same little nook of an ally) and then there's my love of this color combo.  Alternatively, we can look at this positively as a way to showcase another use of both these pants & palette.  Another little tidbid---this Baseball Tee, I must confess...it's a little boys' t-shirt from CrewCuts.  Here's the thing, I'm always in there snagging stuff for my girls (and myself quite frankly), and I love the kids' threads almost as much as the adults' (not to mention it's half the price of womens').  Well if you are, how shall I put this, not blessed in the bust arena, you can totally fit into their large sizes quite comfortably. I'm telling ya, sounds a little off, but the prices are right and their T-Shirts (and girls' jewelry) are adorbs.  Check out some of my faves below:

Fur Meets Plaid

leatherette jeans (Citizens of Humanity on SALE), shirt (J.Crew sold out, alternative HERE), vest (BB Dakota  Love This), kitten heels (J.Crew extra 30% off with STYLEFIND), watch (Tag Heuer), clutch (Kate Spade Love This), ring (David Yurman), bracelets (Asos & Stella & Dot), shades (Gucci)
I am smitten with these Citizen of Humanity Pants.  After literally salivating over the J.Brand leathers I sported HERE, I was on a mission to find a friendlier price tag that wasn't going to send my husband into anaphylactic shock!  They fit like a dang glove and by all appearances portray the look of leather....and I have to say, kinda diggin' the mid rise, too (typically that fit is horrendous on me).  I'm also a fan of the unlikely marriage of fur & lumberjack--nothing like de-prepping some plaid with a little faux fur & leather!
Y'all make it a good one!

In Living Color

jeans (Kate Spade, AJs Casuals, Lexington), blazer & button down (J.Crew), flats (Kate Spade), belt (Old Navy), watch & shades (Michael Kors) bracelets (J.Crew, Gap, Adele of Lexington), necklaces (vintage)
Feeling less than stellar?  Toss on a major dose of color and I guarantee it will add major pep in your step.  Just because the weather may be a tad dreary, doesn't mean our rigs need to be as well.  The color purple is quite regal, but it is also extremely versatile, too.  These Kate Spade jeans will pair with more than meets the eye--navy, yellow, fuchsia, or royal blue.  And don't forget about your neutrals like gray, cream with gold accessories, or camel layered with some chambray & leopard of course!
Onto the big winner of the Piperlime Giveaway....a big congrats to Ms. Lauren Ross!  You, my dear, are well on your way to scoring some Piperlime swag!  I truly cannot thank you all enough for participating...I'm already excited for our next Giveaway!  You all have a lovely evening...I'll be back in the morning with another post!

Classical Camel

dress (Trina Turk, AJs, Lexington KY), purse (Kate Spade, AJs, Lexington, KY), necklace (Stacey Gudeman, Adele, Lex, KY), watch (Cartier), ring (Kendra Scott, Voce, Lexington, KY), shoes & shades (Michael Kors, old, LOVE these, too), bracelet (J.Crew)
Don't you think camel is quintessentially fall?  It's such a classic and rich neutral that I have always loved.  Whether you choose to keep it relatively monotone or spruce it up with a touch of color, it's one of those shades that will flatter almost anyone.  Speaking of flattering, the sheath dress truly plays up a woman's figure.  I love how it isn't revealing and yet showcases a woman's shape.  I envision this lovely in a variety of ways.  You can pair your sheaths with tights, or a blazer, or even top her off with a statement necklace or scarf--options a' plenty!  Take a gander at some of my favorites this season below.  Have a great weekend, gang!

Stripes on Repeat

skirt (Tinley Road, Piperlime), blazer (Express), tee (Gap $12.99), shoes (Zara), necklace (Stella & Dot), cuff (Adele of Lexington), clutch (Kate Spade), shades & watch (Michael Kors), ring (David Yurman)
You caught me!  Repeating the heck out of this blazer--the pairings are endless!  Remember just several weeks ago I sported it With Sparkles and also with a little 9-5 action last week.  I just love its versatility!  Speaking of--both the great Gray Tee & a Leather Skirt are closet essentials if you ask me.  Oddly enough, a simple gray tee has a way of looking quite chic and stylish when used to tone down a fancy rig...the crew neck makes for a perfect resting ground for an adorable bauble, too!!  Can you really go wrong with a leather skirt...I'm going to wear this sucker for work and play---check out some fun options below!

And as for the Kate Spade iPad Winner, where's Ms. Kelly King? Congrats, missy--you have an adorable place to store your iPad!  I truly, truly appreciate the participation--it gets me so very excited for the next giveaway--which will be soon!  Make it a good one, gang!

Flash Giveaway: Kate Spade

iPad sleeve (Kate Spade)
My childhood pals, Brooke & Tiff, can attest to this fact about me---I buy things I have ZERO use for--done it for ages.  Like when I used to buy hair accessories as a kid even though my hair was shorter than it is now.  I knew ONE DAY my hair would be long and so therefore, I found these types of purchases to be completely practical.  Thank heavens now I have an excuse--a GIVEAWAY!!

You see, I am way behind the technological curve and don't even own an iPad---hell, my 67 year old mother even does!  I actually purchased an iPad case a few months ago in anticipation of buying an iPad (remember, the 9-5 post) only to give it to my girlfriend, Kristin.  It's a sickness I tell ya---Anyhow, I just couldn't resist the cuteness of this one and figured I'd totally justify my impractical spending by doing an impromptu Giveaway for one of my lovely readers--I can't stand the thoughts of this going unused!  It's going to be a quick and painless entry...see below and I will announce the winner on Wednesday's post.  I feel so much better now that I've admitted this.....

PS:  Have you seen this morning's post?  It's a goodin' with loads of Kentuckian flavor!
