Seminole Style--The Kickoff

dress (Express c/o), vest (Express c/o), shades (Express c/o), cuff (Express c/o), clutch (Clare Vivier flat version), sneaks (Converse), watch (Michael Kors), bracelets (Coordinates, Omar + ElsieKate SpadeLinea Pelle), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck)

As the rookie of the group, I'm quite excited to be teaming up with my fellow Seminoles KristinCathy, & Lacey for this year's Seminole Style Series!  In celebration of football season kicking off this weekend, we'll be bringing you weekly game day looks each Thursday.  Some ideal for the actual stadium, some for a little house soiree, or maybe even over some wings & brews.  Have to say this little Number would be perf for the latter two--if not scorching hot, I'd sport tailgating, too.  And while the dress and Vest make for a great game day pairing, I'm kinda more excited about these skirts I snaked at the same time (see HoundstoothFloral, and Red Midi) all on crazy good sale!  Alright gang, make sure to check out the other gals for some solid game day inspo---y'all enjoy your weekend and.......

The Black Classic

blouse (Chico's c/o), denim (DL 1961 Similar minus the distressed love THESE DISTRESSED), heels ( Loeffler Randall, Omar + Elsieavailable online HERE --how 'bout the matching CLUTCH ON SALE), clutch ( Clare Vivier, Omar + Elsie, available online HERE), necklaces (Chico's x 2 c/o), cuff (Similar), bracelets (J.Crew, Sylvia Benson, c/o), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), shades (Gucci), watch (Michael Kors)

So many times when I choose what to wear, I over think it be it colors, patterns, or maybe a not-so-comfy cut or shape.  Sure the rig may look alright in the end, but I've gotta say, sometimes less definitely is more.  Keeping her simple and classic is key.  Could there be anything more classic than a Button Down Blouse?  Paired with well fitted Distressed Denim and Spotted Heels, sure she's simple, but that's exactly what I like about her.  Chunked up with some Baubles (remember my double up trick) and a Leo clutch adds just the right amount of interest for my taste.  So if headed out this weekend and stuck in a what-to-wear rut--go back to your basics--gotta a pretty solid feeling they'll be just as fab as some of your more elaborate threads.  Y'all make it a great one!

Leo Loves Floral

jeans (7FAM, Morton James, Lexington, available online HERE), blouse (Waverly Gray, Morton James), heels (Zara see similar HERE), clutch (Clare VivierOmar + Elsie), necklace (Gorjana c/o), bracelets (cuff, Morton James, coordinates Omar + ElsieKnot Bracelet), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), shades (Gucci)

An avid fan of print mixing, Leo and Floral have come to be one of my favorite combinations.  One may think they'd make for a terrible combo, but in my opinion, they always seem to complement one another just perfectly. In the market for a bit of leo?  If so, I truly cannot express enough my love for this Clare Vivier Oversized Clutch.  While she may be flat, she has that Mary Poppins quality that allows you to fit EVERYTHING in it--I mean everything--sucker is good.  And these Floral Denims, well I think they've got just as much mixing potential as the clutch--think stripes or chambrays.
Alright gang, hope you all had a lovely day and are enjoying these 'almost' summer evenings as much as we are!  Make it a good one!

Clean Lines

vest (Alice + Olivia), jeans (Paige), clutch (Clare Vivier, Omar + Elsie, Lexington KY, available online HERE), heels (Jimmy Choo), tank (Target see similar HERE), cuff (Morton James), bracelets (Coordinates c/o Omar + ElsieKate Spade), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), shades (Ray Ban), necklace (Page Sargisson)

I have to say, while I'm a sucker for color and prints, I also am equally a fan of a minimal, neutral look.  And although I don't typically gravitate towards it when getting dressed, I find it's what I'm most drawn to when looking at inspiration such as Pinterest (exhibits ABC)....probably because I could use a little reminder that less is more often than not more.  The south is all about bold vibrant colors and prints, and I don't foresee myself ever gravitating away from that mindset; however, I really do love a minimal palette.  It's no muss or fuss and yet I believe it makes just as much of an impact as a colorful rig.
Side note, remember THIS POST?  I'm going to forewarn you that we'll probably see something quite similar mid summer showcasing all the ways I'm going to repeat the hell outta THIS VEST...it's definitely been on heavy rotation these days!  Alright gang--cheers to a productive Thursday--got lots to cross off my To-Do's...make it a good one!
