The Blackout

blouse (  Cynthia Rowley, Omar + Elsie, available online HEREOBSESSED with the NAVY DRESS VERSION), pants (J.Crew), flats ( Loeffler Randall, Omar + Elsieavailable online HERE), bag (Clare Vivier, Omar + Elsie, available online HERE), shades (Gucci c/o SmartBuyGlasses), cuff (Similar), necklaces (Target, LOVE THESE ACRYLICS), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck)

In celebration of the Omar + Elsie event I'm co-hosting tomorrow night with the uber talented Tiffany & the ever-so-lovely Shelby, I thought it fitting to post a look that's more or less head to toe, O + E.  Not one to shy away from COLOR, it's kinda unlike me to be in a full blown black look, but I've gotta say, I'm really digging the Black/B&W thing these days.  And with the details in this Flounce Blouse, it kicks up this all black look a notch.
Would love love to see you all swing by the O + E event this Thursday--they'll be fabulous fall finds (as Abby just texted me they received a ton of new Clare Vivier & Loeffler Randall, leather jackets galore)--you name it--and with 20% off your entire purchase--kinda can't beat it!
Alright gang, apologies for the delay in posting--we had a 12 hour power outage last night, but the kids were interviewed on the news, Candy Land was played umpteen times, and PB&J for dinn--so all in all, not too shabby all things considered!  Make it a good one and cheers to a lovely weekend!

Fun and Flounce

skirt (Cynthia Rowley, Omar + Elsie, available online HERE), shirt (Zara sold out, super affordable options HERE & HERE), heels (Kate Spade see similar HERE & HERE), clutch (Asos sold out, see similar splurge HERE save HERE), necklaces (two target necklaces doubled up, try TWO of THESE), cuff (see SIMILAR), rings (Lagos, Anna Beck), shades (Gucci)

Balance.  This crop thing has got to be all about balance.  We've got some leg and a hint of midriff going on here so we've got to balance her out by covering up the arms and chest and tossing on a sleek pair of close toed metallic heels (open toed would be too tart for my taste).  The black and white palette keeps the rig modern and sleek while the Ruffle Skirt adds a playful element.  Another way to balance the crop is by pairing a Matching Crop and Midi Skirt Set (some stem coverage but showing off the arms).  Oh and a little trick I used in this look and this POST from forever ago---make your Inexpensive Baubles stand out a bit more and appear more 'substantial' by doubling them up--they're affordable enough you can splurge on two!  Alright gang--y'all have a lovely weekend and a VERY sincere Thank You for your kind comments regarding my Casa--much appreciated indeed!
