Derby Doll

dress (Alice + Olivia, AJs Casuals c/o), necklace (Mignonne Gavigan, AJs Casuals c/o), fascinator (AJs Casuals c/o), clutch (DVF, AJs Casuals), heels (Joie, see Similar), rings (LagosAnna Beck), shades (Sole Society c/o UNDER $25), watch (Michael Kors)

You would wave to your neighborhood firemen, too, right?  Anyhow, quite hard to believe Kentuckian's favorite time of year is already upon us again--it's Derby Season!  The flowers they are a bloomin' and the weather is (almost) perfection.  Which means it's time for us gals to sport our best threads in honor of the Running for the Roses.  You'll find most gals will go for a pretty classically feminine look which is beautiful indeed, but I'm digging the idea of something a little more vibrant....enter this Alice + Olivia Frock from AJs Casuals.  It is just...oh it is just oh so good.  The lovelies from AJs Casuals know how to get us gals up to snuff for the Derby indeed!  I'll be on hand at AJs next Wednesday, April 29th from 11-2, to assist with all of our Derby needs.  If y'all are still stumped on what to sport---pay the gals and myself at AJs a visit and we will get you up to speed for Derby Day!
Alright gang, I'm en route to Dallas for the rS conference---be sure to follow along Instagram for what I'm sure will be a healthy insta overload...apologies in advance.  You all have a great Thursday---make it a great one.  Feel free to shop the look below!

Giddyup

Taking you for a trip down Derby/Keeneland Fashion Memory Lane today.  Big weekend here in the Bluegrass and in honor of the Running for the Roses, I wanted to share some of my fave looks I've sported in the past for either Keeneland or Derby Festivities.  Feminine and Ladylike is how I'd define my Derby style and while I'm laying low this weekend and opting out of the festivities (for the most part), if I was heading to the track, I'm kinda loving the idea of a slight variation on my normal dress routine with either a  JUMPSUIT (love this JUMPER too) or a TRAPEZE MAXI..both still feminine, but just slightly different than the boatload of beautiful frocks you'll see at the track.  Clearly I'm a fan of the DRESS for the big day, so with that in mind, I'm sharing below some of my fave looks for Derby Day.  Keep in mind, they're not only perfect for the track, but with Mother's Day and Wedding Season right around the corner, there's no doubt you'll get major usage out of your Derby Frocks.  Alright gang, make it a good one and Happy Derby Weekend!
