I've heard about it. I've wanted to visit for quite sometime. I've known I would absolutely fall in love with its Rustic-meets-Luxury vibe. But not this hard. Not at first site.
Nestled in the Smoky Mountains right outside of Knoxville, Tennessee, Blackberry Farm had me smitten from the moment John and I arrived. We knew we wanted fabulous eats and drinks, gorgeous nature only the South can offer coupled with a healthy dose of relaxation and can I just say, Blackberry Farm delivered. And then delivered again.
From our Whiskey tasting upon arrival to our private cooking demo and wine cellar tour with the terribly talented Jeff Ross--his carrot salad was I N S A N E--to our couples' massages complete with a tranquility room filled with hanging daybeds---the trip was just beyond lovely and memorable for us. I have to say; however, mine and John's fave part of the trip was when the fellas at the front (have I mentioned how dang hospitable Blackberry is) mapped out a fun little excursion by way of golf cart on the grounds of the farm. Complete with a bottle (or two) of wine and some blankets, we spent the better part of the afternoon touring Blackberry in all its beautiful glory snapping pics of any and everything. Creeks, ponds, mountains, foliage, fire pits surrounded by rockers, farm houses, horses, a new litter of Lagotto Romagnolo Pups, farm animals galore (sheep roam the grounds), and too much beautiful scenery to capture, it was an absolutely perfect afternoon--truly. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the food and wine. Good Lord, my words won't do the deliciousness justice. I consumed entirely too much (hence our devoured dessert plate pictured above) but goodness was it worth it. Our palettes were spoiled indeed.
I cannot thank the staff enough for the lovely accomodations and their attention to EVERY detail. You all set the bar high for future getaways. It's really not a question of "If" we go back to Blackberry Farm, it's more like, "When." #nextyear
Hope y'all enjoy our candid snaps from our trip---feel free to shop mine and John's relaxed rigs below.
