Damnit if Scandal on Netflix and the ASOS weeklong Cyber Monday SALE didn't have me up until 4--yes 4 am!!  I just couldn't put the computer down once Fitz got shot (apologies as that was totally a spoiler for those who haven't hopped on the Scandal bandwagon).  Luckily for y'all, my inability to snooze produced some of my current faves from ASOS and how fab that they've extended their Cyber Monday sale through the week which means 30% off everything with code MOREMOREMORE!  Here are some key takeaways from my picks:

Hang with me today, gang...lots to cover--especially a GIVEAWAY!  Leather is ALL the RAGE this season..all of it...all over the stinkin' place!  I adore it for a plethora of reasons (see some fantastic pieces below).  It takes the simplest of cuts and adds such a fun dimension.  It also shapes the bod nicely and conceals any "areas."  It is terribly classic and will never go out of style--I still own a camel leather skirt that I had in college!  Let's take this frock for instance--first off, I must disclose, it's faux--but no one's the wiser.  It is just a simple sheath, but I can't help but feel a little extra special when wearing it, especially paired with a fun pop of a clutch.  Speaking of Clutches, how about we do a GIVEAWAY!!!!
I am seriously in LOVE with this House of Harlow clutch.  Talk about a fun little statement.  Orange truly is such an amazing splash, and can be a nice neutral as well.  Top it with a little croc, and voila, statement piece!

Some gal pals informed me they do indeed adore this site; however, they find it a smidge overwhelming since the selection is enormous!!  Therefore, thought I'd narrow it down for y'all with some of my current faves!  Faves because they are incredibly diverse.  Faves because they're bright & girly.   Faves because they'll transition into fall beautifully.   And certainly faves because all but the orange lovely are under ONE HUNDO...yes, $100!!  Obviously the bottom two rows will go with just about everything (thinking I want to monogram the pinky rings).  See Orange Crush & Mellow Yellow for tidbits on how to spruce up the orange  and  yellow numbers, respectively.  As for the gorgeous Red Maxi, it pretty much gets the job done on its own!  Stay tuned for a fun day to night post tomorrow!  Enjoy your evening, gang!

In an effort to get a leg up on the upcoming holiday, how about a little patriotic fashion?  Gang, I would be remiss if I didn't mention this dress is ON SALE FOR $14....oh you read that right...$14!  What a stinkin' steal!!  Even better than the price---the many combos you can create during and after the holiday.  I'm thinking a little denim vest or denim jacket with a POLKA DOT SUMMER SCARF.....Or switch the bottom half with Chucks, leopard ballet flats, or sandals!  Indeed an easy summer frock!  Y'all have a fantastic weekend, stay cool (scorcher here in the Bluegrass)..AND stay tuned for an upcoming GIVEAWAY!

Fleur de Jour

I will be the first to admit this rig on paper would appear to be an absolute train wreck!  Stripes, floral, red, purple, zippers, pearls, leather belt--goodness gracious!  But let's take note of the subtlety in the details.   Clearly the star of this show is the floral jean; therefore, everything else should complement it, not overpower it.  The purple pinstripe is faint enough to do just that.  Also, I am envisioning many combos with these jeans: Red silky blouse, chambray shirt, gray sleeveless tee with flat sandals, pink or pale blue check shirt, just to name a few!  Take a shot at pattern mixing if you have yet to do so...it's a perfect way to infuse instant personality into your look!
