Morning, Gang!  Last night started out as your typical school night with two tykes---homework, dinner, bathtime, mini dance party, the usual routine--but then, you get that call from your best gal, Ashley, who offers to pay you a visit with cocktails in tow (because no Southern gal shows up empty handed).  Then Ashley multiplies into one of my other faves, McKayla, and well--let's just say, this post could have been much more interesting had I chosen to configure it at 1 am when I finally called it a night.  Total gab sesh, listening to jams, "admiring" the fact that my Xmas tree is still up (gasp!  yepper--you know my dirty little secret--cut me some slack would ya, I've been traveling out the wazoo--but honestly, my girlfriends intervened last Jan 31 and took it down for me because quite frankly, a Valentine's tree just isn't cool).  It is hands down, aside from laundry, my most hated thing to do--who's with me?  

Enough of that nonsense--happy to be bringing you a fun little work look showcasing yet another one of my "Aunt Me Downs".  This blouse is Morey's from back in the day and I thought the delicacy of it would be a perfect counterpart to these graphic Gap Pants (love THESE TOO).  You truly, truly cannot go wrong with navy--I swear it complements any and everyone and also pairs so beautifully with so many colors--a fave hue indeed!  Alright gang--gotta get my workday in full swing---y'all make it a great weekend and stay warm--5 degrees in the Bluegrass (shoot me)!

Snaked this Parker number at the Voce Sidewalk Sale several weeks ago and come on, sailboats, what's not to love?  Def plan on pairing this little frock with some flats & my Denim Vest for a casual weekender look.  Lexingtonians, Voce has a killer selection of Parker frocks (possibly some still on sale, too)--check out some of my faves below.  Gotta keep her brief today, gang--I'm in Columbus for a work meeting and I've got to scoot--y'all make it a good one!

Remember Wednesday when we chatted about a staple topper to add to your closet?  Well we've got another addition for this spring.  The White Blazer--clearly based on the rigs above, you can tell I'm a big fan.  Here's the thing, it obviously coordinates beautifully with many a look, but I'm envisioning it with one of the big trends this spring--- P A S T E L S !  Can't you just picture it topping a head to toe pastel look be it a blouse with skinnies or dress (think mint, lilac, petal pink)?  It will also satisfy the black & white trend that is all over the joint, too!  I just love investing in a piece that will get you major mileage and this topper will do just that.  Check out some lovely options below--make it a good one, gang!

At first glance, you may feel pigeon holed by these Pink Trousers and think their pairings might be limited.  Quite the contrary; however, as I have paired these lovelies with quite a bit in the few weeks I've had them.  
My favorite Striped Blazer made for a sharp ensemble, while a Cozy Grey Sweatshirt & Leopard Skimmers have a chic, relaxed feel.  How cute would they look with a Classic Camel Coat?  A pant that gives you multiple pairings equals the perfect pant for me!

Ladies, this is my idea of the PERFECT transitional dress.  First of all, I am a sucker for a tie neck--simply adore the girly factor.  Secondly, the colors fulfill the Fall requirements, and the fabric allow for it to be worn alone before the chill sets in, or with a Blazer, Leather Jacket for toughness, and/or Tights!  Pair her with a a killer heel or bootie, and you've got yourself a perfect fall ensemble.  You truly cannot go wrong!
